What makes people think the team is going to go out and get Robinson? He is a more proven player than Canaan but they both have the same type of game (shooting, driving, etc.) and Robinson is even shorter then Canaan. It's a pipe dream for people to think this current team would give a player like Robinson a chance.
Both short but Nate can play above the rim, Canaan not so much. And Robinson is much more proven performer but the biggest difference between Nate and Canaan is effort. No way anyone questions the 3 time slam dunk winner's work ethic. At 30, Robinson is practically a baby compared to Terry and Prigs but the guy is still on the market because he may not be fully healed from ACL injury sustained at end of last season. His numbers this season are career low.
That's even more of a reason why it would be a pipe dream to think Robinson is an option at this point. Robinson just doesn't strike me as a player this team would go after. They never have even when he was younger and possibly healthier even with the huge question mark issues with the pg position in recent years.
I wouldn't mind having Nate. He would be like what AB was supposed to be when we benched him for Lowry way back when.
Hell no. He'd take the ball out of James' hands way too much... he's done that every stop along his NBA career, and that's why he's never stuck with a team. Textbook ballhog chucker.
Short players like Nate rely on their explosive quickness to get open shots. Chances are he'll never be the same as he was in the 2012-13 playoffs before the ACL injury about a year ago.
