Nate is an unrestricted free agent in the summer, and he only made $1.1 million last year. He's been tearing it up in the playoffs and is surely earning some more admirers. Obviously, he's 28 and hasn't really stuck anywhere so far so it would be a risk to throw too big of a contract at him. Who do you think will make a run at him, and where could you see him being a good fit (maybe a starter)? Just asking in general, not suggesting that the Rockets should try to sign him.
Nate Robinson is streaky; that's why he hasn't stuck anywhere. But when he is on, the guy is amazing. He is one of those guys that can get into a zone in a hurry.
He has a lot of haters. He has got game. He has been "on" for the past 3 months to be honest. He does make some boneheaded plays at times but he is and will be a great 6th man for any team.
Great 6th man. His defense is what will keep him from being a starter. 5'9 guys will always be defensive liabilities in the NBA
Nate Robinson is an inconsistent nutcase. I've seen him embarrass himself this season on several occasions. The Rockets shouldn't touch him with a 10-foot pole. Any team that gives him security will regret it. It's great he's shooting the ball so well during the playoffs and is staying under control, but he really isn't that good and makes a ton of boneheaded, selfish plays.
he is a head case...but it takes a disciplined coach like Thibs...to get the best our of Nate...he can at times shoot a team out of contention...
Nate Ribimson is benefitting from what I call "The Tom Thibodeau Effect". Thibs' system is making career journeymen like Robinson and Marco Belineli look like superstars.
I like Robinson, but after this series I can't see him leaving Chicago easily and frankly I can't see him being nearly as effective under McHale's "system" compared to Thibodeau.
I don't know about that....he's Lebron-like with his athleticism and speed. His shot may be inconsistent, but it's not a broken shot. Obviously his lack of size hurts him, but he's pretty good. It's his mentality that's wrong.
Robinson has definitely matured since coming into the league, but I think a lot of that has to do with Thibs. That's the type of coach he needs to keep him in check. He won't be as effective under McHale. I still remember him showboating on Christmas after an and1 and Toney Douglas looking at him like "Dude your team is still down by 20 points..."
