    than Francis?

I didn't see the game so can someone tell me if Francis was sick or something?

Francis, the STARTER, "coincedently" played only 18 mins to Nash's 24.

Generally, I wouldn't b**** about little stuff like this, but in the horrible season we're having right now, the All-Star break was supposed to revive my spirits with the Rockets involved in the all-star weekend festivities.

I realize that Francis sucked, going 1 for 8, but damn, I guarantee you fans would rather see Francis potentially throwing down a dunk, than seeing Nash shoot jumpers.

Damn Don Nelson and his love affair with his own players. Nowitzki also played 24 mintues, more than the starter, Chris Webber. You don't think Nellie's past history with Webber has anything to do with it?

Enough with the conspiracy theories! It was announced before game time that Francis was having problems with the migraines, and his play tonight showed that. His shots were all off, his dribbling was uncharacteristically bad, and he never got into the flow of the game.

The minutes for all players were nearly evenly distributed; of course a few players are going to play a little bit more than the others! Those that are healthy, in the groove of the game, and - depending on the status of the game - are just in there at garbage time are likely going to get more minutes. That was the case tonight.

If you want a love affair with their own players, how about Byron Scott starting Jason Kidd over McGrady, Pierce, and Ray Allen in the East? The fans didn't vote Kidd near the top of the balloting.

Don Nelson sucks. When he coached the West in 1992 he played Otis Thorpe only 4 lousy minutes.

Wow, you have it figured out. When Nelson coached the Warriors he hated Rocket players. Now, he coaches in Dallas and he still hates Rocket players. Yep, you have it figured out. :D

Pretty harsh words coming from a guy who has been here for a week or so.

Because posters re b****ing about minutes in a all star game. This is a exihibition , not a real game, plus Steve was sucking because of the migraines. Its hard to distribute 48minutes over 12 viable candidates. I bet if you asked Steve, other than the migraines he was pleased with just being there instead of people drumming up conspiracy theories. Its just a time to enjoy the atmosphere and realize we hadn't had a all star in 3 or 4 yrs. Let it go and enjoy the moment.

Well, distributing 48 minutes for 12 players might be hard, but distributing 240 (48*5) minutes for 12 players really shouldn't be that difficult.

Still, Steve was hurting - you could see it by the way he couldn't even smile when they were all introduced. Anyway, it's really not an issue: the West won AND Kobe got booed - what more could you ask for?

Oh yeah, and Jordan missed a dunk and got shut down by Garnett - that was nice too.

I watched the game and it is completely justified that Steve did not play more. He looked really bad out there, perhaps it was because of the migraines.

Also, as a sidenote, I noticed that he looked really little! I know there were a lot of tall guys there, but guys like Kidd looked bigger...Stevie didn't really look much taller than Iverson...is he really 6'3?? or more like 6'1 or something? Just wondering.

There were only 11 because Karl didn't play.
