Easily, this is the funniest movie of the year. I thought it would be kind of weird with a few good lauhgs, no, I laughed my ass off for most of this movie. Take a chance on this one, it pays off huge.
I've been wanting to see it since it first came out in the States. Did it just premiere today in Houston?
haven't seen it but the commercials are kinda stupid and i don't remember the last PG-rated comedy that I saw.
I'm sorry... but Anchor Man was funnier. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of Will Ferrell... I've actually hated most of his stuff before this. Napolean Dynamite was okay, but it relies too heavily on the novelty without much delivery (notable exceptions: "Peace out" and "Pedro offers you his protection.") To me, it's not a good movie unless I'd consider buying it, and I have no desire to see that movie a second time. Again, after the novelty wears off, you're left with very little.
It's funny if you don't see/hear/know anything about the movie prior to seeing it. Otherwise you'll probably be let down.
When I went to see this, I was originally planning to see Bourne, but it was packed. There were also droves of like 14 year olds all over the place and I thought we'd escaped them by watching this. I was wrong, all of the little biatches came into to see this. At first they tried to sit in the very back, but they couldn't all fit, so they nearly filled up the entire front section, you know, those 3 rows that make up the worst seats. Some of them didn't like sacrificing a good view, so they started moving back, and so they started moving back and forth. We started jeering them, telling them to stop screwing around, then suddenly they all left, only to come back. The weirdest thing. By the time the movie was over, it seemed they had all left. My guess is they wanted to see Bourne, but it was sold out and they had curfews, so they coulnd't catch a later showing. Anyways, I hate teenagers.
It's not a review, jackass. It's me relating a particular experience to my internet buddies who I've known for a few years. Welcome to Clutchfans, douche.
I wouldn't go as far as to call it the funniest movie of the year (in my opinion, Shrek 2 blows it out of the water in that department) but it is an extremely entertaining movie. One of the most pleasant surprises of "girls' pick" night.
Maybe he's a teenager who bugs adults with his actions at cinemas and didn't like me making fun of his kind.
Maybe I didnt see the title of the thread..Didnt know it was called "your experience at the movies" moron....
