OK, so I actually went out and bought "Napolean Dynamite" as a blind buy DVD based on friends and critics saying how good it was.

Now understand that purchasing DVDs is something I reserve for only very special movies (since I got a DVD burner several months back)

I'm one hour into this movie, AND IT BLOWS!

My sister, who was the first to tell me this movie was supposed to be good, has already given up and left the room to watch E! and whatever random "hottest guys" list is on that channel.

I know there were people who liked it.

    WHY????

I have never heard of this movie. As a matter of fact, I thought it was the name of some cartoon villain like for Batman or Spider-Man.

Lost in Translation was $10 at Best Buy last week. Excellent movie, and one instance when the blind pick worked out well.

That is one flick that went in the "copy" file.

By the way, I'm still watching this god-awful film.

    When will it end?

Better yet, why can't I walk away. Oh, that's right. Because I freakin' paid for it! :(

(I had to take a break for a while and clean up the mess I made in the kitchen from dinner, that's how much I dread this flick!)

I was going to buy this movie -- just like you due to all the great things I've heard.

Maybe I'll just wait for it to come on HBO.

Napoleon Dynamite is hilarious! The movies complete randomness kills me.

It's alot like Zoolander in that you'll either think its great or think its stupid. I actually thought it was pretty funny because of the randomness. Also, it was great to watch with a bunch of friends.

    I hated Zoolander.

    Maybe that explains it.

I'm sitting here watching it alone and pausing it every few minutes to do some work on my laptop (yes, work as in actual job-related work and sending e-mails as follow-ups to clients)

Maybe they'll be impressed that I'm working on x-mas eve and handling their accounts instead of spending time with family, who have all ditched me b/c i'm still watching this flaming pile o' crap.

Well my bro recommended it, meanign I would probably hate it.

So I'm stuck in 'bama with nothing to do...with the parents. I sleep until 2 or 3, virtually no one is in town.

So I decide to go rent movies from the Movie Gallery, oh, 2 hours ago. De-Lovely (not my selection), Bourne Supremacy, and... Napoleon Dynamite.

Well, I hope it's not as bad as The Terminal and Big Fish (of which I thought were crap and MST3K-ed them throughout, basically because I was expecting a real movie instead of fairy-tale fictional crap, not that there's anything wrong with it).

I saw Collateral last night, not a bad flick if you're looking to rent one.

I loved Napolean Dynamite ... It's kind of one of those that you either really like it or you really don't.

You have to like that type of humor and be in the right mood to watch it.

I already copied Collateral, but its at my apartment and I'm at my parent's house.

The flick just ended, and I just wasted several hours of my life.

I will never listen to "popular public opinion" again!

That'll teach me from taking one night off this year to NOT WATCH something sports-related on TV!!!!

I just didn't get "it" The movie was too random and made no sense.

I watched the commercials on TV and thought it would be a sorry movie. Especially the groggy "dude" dude pimpin' it. I think he's the creator, right? Anyway, it looked about as dumb as a movie can get - and I've seen some dumb movies (ahem... Jim Carey).

Finally something I agree with! AD is the BEST show on TV!!!

In order to get over the trauma from that movie, I resigned myself to programming my parents stereo system with presets. All 36 stations were set to 87.5FM (default), which was bugging the hell out of me!
