There is many threads on books but I've noticed they were only single books... The last book series I liked was Left Behind. This was a few years ago before I got busy with school and work. I have Harry Potter series at home but I haven't read any of them yet. My favorite books series growing up: The Baby-Sitters Club (Ann Martin) - I LOVED THIS SERIES! Dawn was my favorite character. Fear Street (R.L. Stine) - This series was the best. I tried to read every single book. I don't think I read all of them though but most of them. I would read them again but I would feel funny reading about teenagers. Goosebumps (R.L. Stine) - I liked this series. I wasn't too crazy about this series though. I can't remember what other series I liked. I read lot of books when TV didn't have no captions. Name the book series you liked.
Goosebumps has to be my all time favorite. I remember I use try and read every single one that our library had.
A Wrinkle in Time - Madeleine L'Engle Ender's Game - Orson Scott Card His Dark Materials - Philip Pullman (mentioned on the top 100 list)
Since the wife loves fantasy, I've read my fair share of series in that vogue, from Dune and Ender to Harry Potter and Wheel of Time. I'll admit that they can all be a little hard to resist once you've got into them, in their own way. One I found fairly interesting, though I've only read the first few books in the series, is SM Stirling's Emberverse series. For an older one, the Bourne books are pretty good, though I think after book #3 not as much. Also, you may want to look into the Kushiel Legacy books.
Dragonlance (Weiss & Hickman) The Belgariad (Eddings) The Mallorean (Eddings) The Lord of the Rings (Tolkien, duh) Yeah, I'm a dork.
I read The Hobbit and then The LOTR series when I was in 3rd grade. Good stuff. I also read the entire Chronicles of Narnia series around that time as well. Silver Chair and Voyage of the Dawn Treader were great.
I think Lawrence Block's Burglar series is the only series of books I've ever read. And Sherlock Holmes. I hardly read any books at all growing up. It wasn't until college that I got into reading anything but magazines.

scary stories. The sketches were sick and the tales, well, what 3rd grader doesn't like reading about a ghost who hung a kid's dog? or the puppy that turned out to be a sewer rat from hell?
Voyage of the Dawn Treader was my favorite in the entire series, I think it was better than any of the more popular of the series. Lewis's Space Trilogy is also pretty good. I second and third several in this thread: LOTR Song of Ice and Fire Harry Potter The Eddings series Dark Tower I also really like Erickson's Malazan series. Its pretty dark and fairly complex, but by about 50 pages in of each book I'm hooked.
Matthew Corbett - Robert McCammon Mordant's Need - Stephen R. Donaldson The Gap series - Stephen R. Donaldson Night Watch - Sergei Lukyanenko Locke Lamora - Scott Lynch Kingkiller - Patrick Rothfuss Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling Belgrariad - David Eddings Mallorean - David Eddings Chronicles of Pyrdain - Lloyd Alexander Ender - Orson Scott Card
