Cuba Gooding Jr was a boy getting a haircut in 1988's Coming to America.

The mailman from Cheers is actually in the Empire Strikes Back (hoth base.)He's not seen, but has a line in the movie.

Tom Hanks appeared on Happy Days and Taxi.

Nicholas Cage Cage collects comic books and sees them as being today's equivalent of history ( kinda like unbreakable). Cage is the nephew of legendary director Francis Ford Coppola.

Nicolas Cage, who liked Johnny Depp well enough to introduce him to his agent. Result? A small role in A Nightmare on Elm Street (Johnny's feature film debut).

Bill Murray apeared in the music videos for Buster Poindexter's "Hot, Hot, Hot"

Cuba Gooding's first break into acting was in a small part on TV's Hill Street Blues. He blew a number of takes, not knowing that he was supposed to stand on his "mark," a white piece of tape on the floor. He then decided he should take an acting class

Billy Crystal's first acting role was as Meathead's (played by Rob Reiner) best friend on All in the Family. Ironically, he and Reiner became best friends and worked together on a number of projects including When Harry Met Sally.

In Animal House the guy who gets his guitar smashed over his head on the stairs is singer/songwriter Stephen Bishop who wrote the theme song to the movie.

Wesley Snipes had a several second, one line part in a Richard Pryor movie. Can't remember the name of the movie, but in it Pryor pretends to be a doctor when he's stuck in a hospital.

The voice of Shaggy on Scooby Doo is Casey Casem.

Wesley Snipes was one of the dancers in Michael Jackson's Bad video.

Martin Scorcese directed Michael Jackson's Bad video (somebody confirm that... I got this from a friend).

The Tin Man in the original Wizard of Oz was Buddy Ebsen, a.k.a. Jed Clampett of Beverly Hillbillies fame.

The mask used for Michael Meyers in Halloween was actually a modified Halloween mask of a William Shatner (as Captain Kirk) costume.

Val Kilmer has a small role in the movie "True Romance".

He plays Elvis, when Christian Slater is in the bathroom.

I also do not believe anyone can name a movie that has more recognizable names than "True Romance".

    Christian Slater
    Patricia Arquette
    Brad Pitt
    Val Kilmer
    Dennis Hopper
    Gary Oldman
    Christopher Walken
    Samuel L. Jackson
    Bronson Pinchot
    Micheal Rapaport
    Chris Penn
Saul Rubinek (The rich hollywood director. He's also the same guy who was Daphnie's fiance on "Frasier")
James Gandolfini (One of Walken's thugs. He also had a major role in "Get Shorty")

The screenplay is by Quentin Tarantino too.

Wesley Snipes was actually the rival gang leader character in that video. That part was originally supposed to be played by Prince but he turned it down for reasons that seem obvious...

In an interview, Prince said: "That Wesley Snipes character was supposed to be me but Michael was signing 'Your butt is mine.' Now, I know he ain't singin' that to me and I sure as hell ain't singin' that to him!"

The idea was to play upon the supposed rivalry between Prince and Jackson in the early 80's.

    Not so good.
    #6 is wrong.

I thought about Kelly's Heroes, but was stretching on the last 2 names to get up to 13. Eastwood was one of the stars in that movie, so your guess is definitely wrong.

    Battle of the Bulge
    The Wild Bunch
    The Last Picture Show

also come in with about 11 "names", but did not meet my criteria of 13 or better.

I could cheat and list "Woodstock", but it is more of a documentary and the "names" are musicians rather than actors.

I heard this one the other day on the radio. The movie "Big" was originally slated to be a Stephen Spielberg movie. Spielberg wanted, who else? His Raiders of the Lost ark buddy Harrison Ford to play the "Big" character.

For some reason it didn't work out and the movie "Big" went to Penny Marshall, and she cast Tom Hanks in the role.

And as we all know the role changed Hanks' career completely.
