Boki's shooting numbers have been wonderful, but I haven't seen the games. How's he doing in total? His D, etc.? Thanks
Nachbar...is not a bust! I am so proud of that...that he is actually a regular NBA player instead of just sitting on the bench all day. He is a great shooter actually and a good slasher and good passer. He fits our team pretty well. Since he's pretty tall...he is all right on defense. He works pretty hard. The thing I like about his defense is whenever the ball is close..he tries to steal the ball. He slaps a lot..and tries to knock it away from the offensive player. But then his man can just get open....the good thing is that our starters always gain an early lead and even if they score 2 points, we just shoot 3's all day when Nachbar and company are in. He's a good player off the bench. So far so good. He's shooting like 62% from behind the arc..he fouls a lot too. He is not soft. The only bad thing is he always wants the rebound. He grabs the ball...and this could cause a turnover.
Major props to JVG for playing the guy. Boki is going to play a big role in our 2nd unit. We took our big lead tonight when Padgett and Boki were in the game. If we continue to develop our 2nd unit, we will easily clinch a playoff spot.
boy is seventh in 3pt %, mobley is 3rd, who would of thought we would be a 3pt shooting team? steve and mooch though are in the top of all the turnover categories, we fix that and we are gold.
I guess this is as good a time as any to offer my official Boki apology. After watching him in the summer league, I thought that he would NEVER become a viable NBA player, much less one who can contribute. I hereby retire the nickname "Bustjan" once and for all. A few years down the road, though, if he KrispyKreme's out the way MoTay did, I'm going to have "Nachobar" ready and waiting!
With all the double teams they're throwing at Yao this year, we're getting a buttload of open looks from behind the line.
I knew we were going to be a great 3 point shooting team with the size and ability we have dowm low and the sharpshooters we have on the perimeter. We only had 15 turnovers tonight and that will continue to drop as the Rox get more and more comfortable in JVGs system. To Nachbar, though, he has played EXTREMELY well, and that includes the defensive side. He works very hard and does not allow any easy shots. I am proud of the way he has come in and silenced all of the naysayers, at least until he has a bad shooting night. Sigh, I guess some people just aren't happy unless they are tearing someone else down.
yeah i remember when he go drafted, the reporter was like "are you going to be the next stoyachovic?" and boki was like "nope, i am going to be the first Nachbar." i thought wow great answer... too bad he's not a peja though... he's like a radmanovich, but smaller
As one of the few posters who never gave up hope on Boki... I would just like to take this time to say.... Way to go Boki... yall, thought I was gonna say I told ya so didnt ya? thanks for making me proud....keep it up.
I will boki will score and dunk over that f*** wallace again and again. Never give up this hope and Boki can do for me.
I have always been a Boki Believer.. heheh I invented the Boki Pokey, after all.. hmm.. maybe this year someone will finally put it to music..
naaww.. for a pickup line that actually would work... "Hey babe, want to do the Boki Pokey??" and then he should quickly say... "and I make a million+ a year" that way they dont slap him....
