Do you guys think Bostjan Nachbar (#15) can be as good as Gordan Giricek (#41 in 1999) and Tito Maddox (#38) as good as J. R. Bremer (undrafted)?

OR May be we have made a mistake and have missed some good players in the recent drafts?

Maybe Nachbar, maaaaybe. But for ever good player drafted, there are far more who totally suck. We'll know next year.

They have more "potential" otherwise they wouldn't be drafted higher. But you need to play games to realize those "potential". Frankly I doubt Giricek and Bremer would get playing time in our team so that didn't make them better than our guys.

All I know is the next time someone says that Nachbar is really this year's draft choice I'm going to slap them. If you go back and check the articles at/around draft time, they certainly weren't making that case then. Plus, if he was really this year's draft choice, why didn't the Rockets evaluate his game over here during the summer, give him a bunch of stuff to work on, and send him back (war aside) so he could actually play?? Like his on the inured list-off the injured list has really given him the NBA experience that will make him that much better next year.

If he can't get any playing time this year with relatively inconsistent and SF play, then unless he seriosuly improves, I don't see why he will get any next year.

I need to see if Maddox can get his shots cleanly for once. All of his shots I have seen so far are blocked. But I like his passing ability though.

I don't think they expected to do that at first, the reason this happened goes back to them finding out he was hurt worse than they originally believed. So he'd already signed a contract. I think they also wanted him to still be ready to contribute during the regular season, but it just didn't work out. They didn't make the "he's our draft pick for next year" claim until well into the season.

Bremer kicks arse. Everytime I've watched him play he's been deadly from 3 pt land. He sure torched us in the first game vs. hou.

Lemme see. (checks stats on web)

    36.8% 3-pt fg pct

Oh well so much for that. Maybe me watching him has an effect on his game, a la the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle.

There is only one differnce between those two Rocket's and the other two: MINUTES .

Giricek is getting Mobley minutes in Orlando, any player who gets 40 minutes a game and can shoot even half way decent can put up numbers.

I remember all the talk about how great this draft was. We got Yao, and Boki...and maybe even (we did get) Tito!
The thing is. All the hype surrounding Boki...and he doesnt play.

Well, if it's the best thing for the team, then fine...i guess.

I would like to see hime get some mins though...even trash min.
