I tried like 5 different times and every time it guessed the correct picture. How is this possible? I call upon the legendary BBS psychics to help me.

Very simple, actually. All possible outcomes are the same symbol, and the symbols are shuffled around every try.

Notice that the answer is ALWAYS 36. It's one of these mathmatical formulas that always come out with the same result no matter what numbers you use (as long as you follow the directions correctly).

When you try again the symbols rearranges.

If you choose more than one number, all the numbers the equation ends with are the same symbol....

Are you saying your final number calculated is always 36? Out of 5 times, I picked a number, it only once calculated to be 36.

For example some of my other original numbers before any calculation were 23, 42, 14, and 91.

The result number (after adding and subtracting) will always be a multiple of 9. All the multiples of 9 (9,18,27,36, etc.) are the same symbol. The exception is #90 but there's no way you can end up with that number.
