If you canceled it once, then the button should disappear if you look at the requests section again.

Reason is b/c you cant cancel a request twice.

But on the whole, myspace hasn't had that many glitches in the past year or so. It was really bad in the first 2 years of service since 2004.

Myspace blows...use Facebook, it is so much more user friendly and easier to find old friends. There are so many applications to connect to and you don't get innundated with people's pages who have video after video and graphics that take forever to load.

Oh please..."facebook" and "inundated" go hand and hand...once they started the live feed and all those dumb applications the site went to hell. Facebook used to be a great tool to meet people, and I admittedly met several people on it during my freshman year at Baylor. But now it just flat-out sucks.

I say forget canceling your friend's request. I say cancel your whole account. These social networks are nothing but an ill to society. I have never seen time wasted more grandly than this. Myspace, Friendster, and even Facebook alike.

I never got into the social networking thing until my gf dragged me into it (she got dragged into it by someone else). Well I don't regret it, I've reunited w/ some high school friends and keep in contact w/ college friends more frequently.

And I've Got to agree w/ this one on avoiding MySpace. The main reason is everyone customizes their myspace page to hell and 90% of them look like such a mess it looks like Homer Simpson's first attempt at a web page (anyone remember that episode? tons of animated gifs and no content?).

On Facebook all the info is displayed in a more clear, concise format, plus the networks are a nice way of finding/meeting people. BTW, you can delete your live feed actions on Facebook.

Sounds like you had a problem on there, hmm?

Just about everyone I know has a myspace account. I probably spend less than ten minutes a day on there. I see no problem with it, and I've picked up a few dates from it.

I can understand why you say that for those who misuse it, have their lives revolve around it, and for youngsters who are preys to predators but it's not so bad for those who connect with h.s. friends who you've lost touch with or keeping in touch with friends you don't normally see/speak to everyday. It's also cool as a way to discuss/share ideas, stories, news feeds on sports, news events, music, movies, religion etc...with friends and family. It's almost like a forum but controlled to who you want being able to view/respond.

Almost everything has destructive/negative aspects to it and sadly people take advantage of those negatives. But to say hell with it b/c there are those negative aspects is wrong. Should you not come on the internet anymore b/c of all the filth that is on here?

Parents need to start being parents and pay more attention to their kids and teach them the right morals and values. Don't blame technology for the ills of society.

    Bingo.

It is not like we devote our lives to MySpace and other social networks(personally speaking). I have a Myspace and facebook. It is just fun to see if you run into a old friend that you haven't seen in years or pass time when you are bored at work. However, I see many teenagers who are so addicted to Myspace(my 17 yr old cousin - she's awful!! Thank god my sister isn't like her)

I think this is evidence enough that she's right.
