Hey Guys, I run the University of Texas-Austin television station (TSTV). We are one of the only (if not the only) FCC licensed student run stations in the country. We have started a campaign to be the first student station in the country with a digital transmitter that will allow us to continue to broadcast over the air past June and expand our reach to over 1,000,000 people. The economy has really hit our parent company hard and The Daily Texan is set to lose a lot of money this year. We are in the middle of a political mess with layoffs and pro-local advertising policy debate... Point is that we've been put in the situation of having to raise a lot of funds ourselves. If any of you guys (UT Alums or Not) feel enough to our cause and would like to make a Tax Deductible donation, That would be really amazing. Before you say No, Please go to WWW.TexasStudentTv.Com and look through the Flash Player I have up with All of our programming. we put out close to 7 hours of programming a week with nothing but volunteer UT students. This swtich might allow us to upgrade 20 year old equipment and better equip our students for their trek out into the real world. Every year, we get people jobs. In the last 3, we've put 8 people at ESPN and tons more in TV stations across the nation. Burnie Burns from Red Vs. Blue started our Entertainment news show Sneak Peek. You could go through this http://www.texasstudenttv.com/brandon/LETTERPACKET2.pdf letter packet of support to see exactly what we do for students. Please consider it. Any donation helps. I've had to raise every dollar of the 6,500 myself and I thought I could go to my favorite internet hangout since 2003 (old username BRANMAN).
