So I was just at Academy to do a quick return. As I am leaving a car runs the parking lot stop sign and almost hits me in the cross walk. I hold up my hands with my WTF expression. The lady rolls down the window and yells at me ”What, you got a problem mother f*cker?” I say, “Yeah you ran the stop sign and you almost hit me in this crosswalk. You need to watch how you are driving.” She then proceeds to yell at me with her three kids in the car and with her cell phone still on her ear, “Naw mother f*cker, you need to watch where your ass is going. You tha one walking around this parking lot without no mother f*cking bumpers on.” What a classy lady that was. The no bumpers part on cracked me up.
I see this quite a bit working at an Academy. I've nearly been hit on several occasions. People look at you like it's your fault. We have the word STOP painted on both sides of the street and its ignored. I try to point it out to them but most don't understand the language, just wave, nod their head and continue......
maybe if you didnt' think you were tough **** and got the hell off the road instead lolligagging around like you own it, she wouldn't have had to put you in your place.
No offense, but I always drive around in large parking lots expecting people to be dumbasses. It helps a lot, because you expect someone to come running through a blind spot, so you're not as stressed as normal. I tend to smile, and flip them off. It tends to either embarrass or infuriate them, but I don't care because I expected it. But that is me.
I'm as anti-car as they come. But she won it with that remark! Score one for the fat lady in the car.
In most countries even in some cities here, cars come before pedestrains on the street and parking lots. I think we should do that, bc it will make people pay more attention when and where they are walking. Also forget the Southern Hospitality attitude, lets start acting like people from the Northeast. Might as well start talking like them too bc i hate hearing texan accents.
