This is a three team trade involving the Clipps, N.Y., and the Rox (who else?)

    LA trades: Chris Wilcox
LA recieves: #9 pick from NY

    Houston trades: Eddie Griffin
    Houston recieves: Chris Wilcox

    NY trades: #9 pick
    NY recieves: Eddie Griffin

LA gets more lotto picks and gets rid of a player that only is gonna play a max of 10 minutes a game behind Brand, Odom, Ely, Parks, and Rooks. Kandi is as good as gone so they'll be looking to address 2 needs (C, PG) with their # 6 and #9 picks. Sterling replaces Kandi's whinning ass and juicy contract with a young talent hoping to make an impact on a rookie contract. They can land Ford or Hinrich(6) for the 1 and Kaman(9) for their 5. Sterling is laughing all the way to the bank!

Houston ships out a contact fearing, 3 pt shooting PF with some potential behavior and drug problems for a wide banging PF who helped his alma mater win a championship. Wilcox is just wasting away on the bench and deserves a spot (starting) on a new team. What better place than here with fellow "Terp" Stevie. I actually see some awesome finishes between the two.

Instead of NY drafting a potential bust (Kaman, Collison, Lampe) who fans will definitely despise, NY gets a two year veteran with excellent shot blocking instincts who would be reminicent of the Camby era. He's long and lean and a decent shooter who won't be asked to bang alot with the likes of Thomas, Weatherspoon, and Harrington on the team. He could actually blossom into a star with those guys always playing against him in practice. Who else would give them as much promise as Eddie compared to who'd be left??

If this worked out and Wilcox became a 17 and 10 dominant post player, we'd look like we got the best of that New Jersey trade a couple years ago. (Eddie could also turn into a stud)

I like the concept, but I think the Knicks would rather take their chances with the pick. If Eddie had shown some improvement last year they might think differently. Plus, Kurt Thomas is a solid option at the 4. They need a C... Chris Kaman will probably be available for them at #9. Makes sense for the the Clippers. Why they took 2 PFs last year when they have Elton Brand already is beyond me.

True , there are also rumors them willing to trade Spree for Eddie also. Thomas averaged 14 points and 7 rebounds in 31 minutes! Eddie averaged that in 22 mins.

Not a bad idea DrP but I doubt any of the three would really wanna do it cuz they think they could do better than that.

Why give up Griffin for Wilcox? The whole point of letting him go would be to pick up a proven player.

BTW, I would take Griffin over Wilcox every time.

I'd be willing to part with Grif if we saw some serious potential in Wilcox. Sometimes less is more. Wilcox could fit it here great, but I'm not one to say this is true.

    Hell....why not?
    :)
He was drafted right after Eddie right? Or one year later?
    Anyways...
He played BEHIND Terence Morris at Maryland...
His info sounds just like Eddie's. Both same height....same weight.
Only difference is Wilcox can't shoot....but at least he knows this and doesn't stay on the perimeter.
And he is a Terrapin!!!!!! Steve Francis would love it!
And he's been sitting on the bench watching Elton Brand! Maybe he has learned something...
    I'd do it. Why not?
At least he hasn't been caught with mar1juana yet.
Griffin is 1.5 years younger than him though.
    HE CAN DUNK!!!
Then we draft Kendrick Perkins or Luke Walton or some point guard...and I will be happy.

New York might want Eddie...and Clippers would definitely love it. If they aren't moving Elton Brand....then they don't really need Wilcox too much.

I still have some hope for Eddie..

I think Wilcox would be a great trade for Eddie. He stays in the paint, is stronger than Eddie so could also play some 5, and is a little more athletic than Eddie. I'm sure he's gotten better playing against Elton daily.

    I'd do it EVERYTIME.

If the Sonics are still interested in him I'd trade Eddie to Seattle for Nick Collison and Luke Ridnour.
