Don't know if this had been mentioned anywhere, but I really think that the Rockets will try to deal with Chicago and get Marcus Fizer and Jamal Crawford. The Rox will likely use the draft pick owed to us by Chicago as well as Mobley and Griffin. Others could be exchanged, but the meat of that deal would be those players. I remember Rudy was interested in trading up the year we got Collier but was unable. He liked a lot of players in that draft Miller, Miles, Fizer and Swift but couldn't get to them. Fizer played well this year and actually goes after rebounds and can shoot from the outside as well as take it down low. With Francis likely moving over to 2G, it would be wise to have a tall guard to defend the larger 2's and Crawford is listed at 6'5-6'6. This is my prediction after a few moments of thinking about what the Rox could do to for a needed change. I just hope that whatever deal the Rox do this offseason includes getting rid of Moochie.
I like your idea. I like the work ethic of Fizer before his injury came. But my other priority is for the Rockets to bring in a really dependable veteran that could help us become more mature and consistent..
Great idea, after all the Bulls only have about 15 mil due Rose next year alone. Come on, it takes two to trade.
ive got an idea, how bout we just trade our team for whoever wins the championship this year? cmon guys hows that sound! i mean its about as logical as any other of the crazy trades on this board! :-D wooohoo
I still think Fizer is going to be a very good player...better than MoT and KT, and currently much better than EG. DD
Being better than MoT and KT still doesn't make him valuable. He was playing well before the injury, but -- so what. The Rox don't go anywhere with him and no other changes.
Uhh........hold up! Then what is the trade? Please be more clear..... PLEASE! Mobley and Griffin. Crawford and Fizer. And somebody's 1st Round Draft Pick... Uhh... Tell me...
I could actually see this trade happening. Another possibility could be a 3 way sending Mobely to Atlanta, who signs Terry and trades him to Golden State who sends us Fortson. Then you trade Griffin straight up for Crawford. This only works if Arenas is serious about Denver, but he says that was just his dad talking. The other concern would be the Bulls having Fizer, Curry, Chandler, and Griffin all fighting for minutes at the 4-5. For us, Fortson is a monster rebounder, but his health is a concern. j
lol..........Jason Terry, Jason Richardson, Cuttino Mobley, Bob Sura, Jiri Welsh, Earl Boykins.......hmm...........a bunch of guards. Antawn Jamison, Troy Murphy, Eddie Griffin, Mike Dunleavy...a bunch of forwards.
Go back and read my post. Mobely to Atlanta, Griffin to Chicago. And as I said, it only works if they lose Arenas to Denver. j
Ok, let's give up a player that averages 20 points a game and a big man that is coming into his third year. His breakout year for a undersized pf who is coming off of a major injury and a guard who is injury prone. REAL SMART! REAL SMART!
I couldn't say it better myself. Come 2004 I think you'll see Mobley and Griffin still in Rocket uniforms and playing polished games on an individual and team effort. Being equally blessed and cursed, the Rockets have incredible luck. Whatever trades they make, you won't see it coming, and it will be beyond all your dreams and imaginations.
Wasn't that when Jerry Krause or whatever his name was..the obtuse guy who resigned......was still there? New GM now. Marcus Fizer sucks. Jamal Crawford might be pretty nice. But I wouldn't give up Mobley and Griffin. Mobley and Griffin are worth more than that....
