So went to Pearl Bar this weekend on Washington only to find Chase and Shane playing beer pong. When Shane and his wife went to go get more beer i had a nice 5 mins talk with Chase. He was a cool cat. Here are a few of the topics we talked about: His injury: he said he will be 100% before the season starts Melo: he said that he is not coming, if anything would have happened with him coming to houston it would have already happened. He also said Melo would be a dumb ass if he did not take the extension money. Future Signing: He said that they are looking to try and pick up another big man. Getting Stepped On: He said it wasnt as bad as it looks. He said Aubery barely got his face but mainly just stepped on his shoulder but he had a foodt imprint on his chest after the game. He said he wasnt even doing any trash talking so he doesnt know why he did it. He said he was pissed and wanted to go after him. Side note. Him and Shane played 3 games i saw. Only winning won. They lost to Shane wife and some other chick. -Jonathan
I'm gonna try my best Carl Herrera here... "Why Shane Hang out with white guy and no soul brothas? Play beer pong instead of hit gym? Tmac 2.0? Trade immediately. " How was it?
At least TMac hangs out with brothas. TMac doesn't seem to bang gangs, though. You need Marquis Daniels for that, apparently.
I'm thinking Chase is just talking about the $$ aspect of the contract extension. I think Melo could get a fat endorsement deal anywhere he goes anyways, so why not make a few more with the extension. Btw: pic of Shane's wife and "some other chick"?
Pics or GTFO. Spoiler Lol, nah jk. It seems that Morey and co and least keep the players in the loop. It is safe to say Bud knows waaaaaaayyy more than anyone on here does.
I think if there was a deal he was a part of they would alert him, yes. But, being that there is no deal, I am sure he is comfortable going to camp with the rest of the team. DD
The message is probably that (a) we are high on you and are not shipping you out for anything other than a substantial return, (b) chances of any "substantial" trade happening is almost nil, so no reason to worry about it. This is pretty much what Morey said in public anyway (not just about Budinger, but about the roster in general). Budinger may meet with Morey daily about management's thinking, but his agent, Kevin Bradbury of BDA Sports, probably knows quite a bit about what's going in the league, particulary given that BDA Sports has a lot of NBA clients. BDA also has multiple Rockets as clients (Yao, Hayes, Budinger, Hill), so they'd probably know the Rockets management as well as any agency does.
