Try not to act smarter than your audience. You want to gain their support. They want to see you succeed so go up their next time, do your thing and the laughs will follow.

Kudos for having the guts to get up there, and you actually sounded pretty comfortable for a first timer. But, the jokes fell totally flat for me.

I was there! This was right after the "fight" between the two comedians. I am in no way a comedian and major props to you for going up there, one thing is that you seemed really really shy and the audio on the phone is great but I was in the front row and could barely understand you, that's why the host said he couldn't hear your last joke. Keep it up man.

Honestly i didnt think it was that funny, but maybe it's just me. I'd work on slowing down some. i'm not sure if there was a time limit, but you were speaking too quickly and I think that killed parts of the jokes. Either way, props for doing it.

I don't care for the open Mic at the Improv. I used to go but you have to be in that crew to perform half of the time. Guys like Chase who sucks ass but yet gets to perform all the time. I would recommend you go to other places as well. Sherlocks, Davenports, Exit 73 and etc.

You'll only get better as you the more times you get up there. Also, don't recycle your jokes either. People get tired of hearing the same old ****.
