He's pretty big for 2 years and 7 months. I didn't think the Santa suit would fit. I love you son. EDIT: I redrew the picture on ms-paint...You get the idea.
Merry Christmas Falcons Jr. I'll be taking my 10 month old to Santa this weekend. Santa's beard better by on tight because I suspect my thirty pound bundle of energy is going to give it a good yank! Haven't looked forward to a Christmas this much in years.
Cool. I don't think my 2.5 year old daughter is going to sit on Santa's lap. She said she will but I have my doubts. Last year she screamed so much we never got a photo. Maybe if her 8month old brother is not scared she won't be either. Being a parent is great.
What a great picture, FT!!!! My son went to visit Santa here the other day...he started engaging Santa in a little more conversation than he normally gets (go figure, my son talks a lot!). He had everyone laughing. It was a great time. God bless all your families this holiday season!
You mean like..."Santa I want a condo in a high rise with a view of the ballpark...and a big screen TV...by the way, how's it hangin'?" LOL I have no idea where he'd get that from...cough cough...maybe from watching you...cough cough.
you know my last name, refman...it starts with an "m"...my nickname in elementary school was "motormouth last name"
My 3YO daughter is somewhat spooked by Santa. My mother tells the story of my older brother going to see Santa and asking him, "Mister, why do you have lipstick on your nose?"
my 2 year old son was spooked last year...but after a trip to DisneyWorld in October where he hung out with the huge Disney characters, Santa Claus was easier to deal with!
Falcons, That is an awesome pic, though I am not sure I would post it an internet BBS. With all the sickos out there, it would be more prudent to just TELL us about it. DD
Good point. I'll go back and delete it. Thanks for all your nice comments. Last year, he cried, and I really had to work to get him to smile, but I got him to, and it turned out wonderful as well. People in the mall were looking at me like I was a deranged lunatic, but if it made my boy smile, it was all worth it. He's really becoming a chip off the old block, although I'll say this, he's going to be a lot tougher than I was. We are always wrestling, and once he gets me down, he will literally kick me in the side and jump on my torso yelling "BODY SLAM!"
For those of you that got in too late here is a copy of the picture FT posted Well without the legs anyway.
The "without the legs" comment is hilarious to me, because anytime my son asks me to draw spiderman or green goblin, I will draw the head (in crayon) and he always reminds me to put the "toes"as well, so in essence he has a picture of sm or gg's head with feet sticking out the bottom!!!
That's nice. My 2.96 year old (2 yrs 11 mos) told me that he "thinks" he wants to see Santa. He seemed a lot more confident at home as opposed to when I asked him when we were at the mall. We will see. Any one know when they typically outgrow the fear of the jolly red fellow? Merry (early) X-Mas!
Not sure about all kids but my brother in law is 30 and still gets spooked by Santa and clowns. My 2-yr. old keeps telling us he doesn't like Santa "He's nasty" My parents have a big plastic yard Santa and he keeps telling them to put it up.
I can't understand why kids are scared of an overweight, strange old man in funny suit, who wants them to sit on his lap, tell him secrets in exchange for the promise of gifts? Still taking my son though!!!
