Those that do the prayer thing, if you can add my sis to the list today. She's 17 and undergoing open heart surgery today. So far she's been in for about 5 hours... they have two procedures to do while she is there. A electrical correction that will stop her from having heart arrythmias and a valve ring to help it close without leaking. Thanks!
I sure will pray for her!!! My brother is at Texas Childrens Hospital right now, dealing with some horrible complications from Cystic Fibrosis. He is only 10 years old. His temp is steadily 105 degrees, and isnt going down. If you know anything about CF, then you know that the smallest infection can kill him. It broke my heart yesterday, when the doctor told him he has a terminal illness and will die young. Right now, if he lifts his shirt up, you can count the bones in his body. Its very sad!!! I think I must have cried about 90% of the day yesterday. Its hard to see someone you love go through these tough times, and its even harder when its a child. The doctors told my mom that she probably needs to take him out of school and sign him up at the Texas Childrens Hospital School!!! I mean c'mon, how sad is that. Poor little guy. I truly understand what you are going through HF. Stay strong and positive.
man, that is horrible. i'm truly sorry for you and your family. CF is a painful illness to deal with for the person and their family.
Thanks for the prayers guys. They finished one part of the surgery and are doing the second right now. 7 hours and counting... So far so good. RedRowdy, I will pray for your brother as well. I have a very good friend who's son was diagnosed with CF at the age of 2 and he's doing well and starting the 3rd grade this year. It's a scary sickness but hopefully like my friend's son they can help him with lung therapy and medication.
