Davis has a 7'5 wingspan, I think KD is 7'45. Both are 6'11 tall. Pretty much the same in the end. Seein how Davis' skillset and that he was a guard in HS it's not too far to say he'd be a decent SF. That won't happen though as he's far more effective as a PF or C ala Garnett.
Coach Cal who coached Anthony Davis doesn't know what he is talking about according to you. Now an NBA insider who probably has discussed that with NBA Gm's is making up stuff. Oh but you're the one that is right someone who isn't as connectrd as those two.
I can't see Anthony Davis dribble driving past NBA small forwards. Who the hell would play him at the 3?
Cal was on Mike and Mike this morning and actually called Davis a 3/4 or 4/3 at the next level. I disagree. I think he is a 4/5, but mostly 4. Still, jopatmc, it's ok to fimrly believe what you want to believe. If you think he's best as a 5, that's fine. But no need to call out someone else's sources, etc. Pretty much everyone else - from professionals to other fans on the board - see him as a 4 (or even a 3/4). Here's your chance to just say you respectfully disagree and laugh in our faces if/when you are proven right down the road.
Everyone knows Davis is a forward right now, jopatmc. He's 6'10" 215lbs. He's not bulky enough for the 5. Can be bulk up and become a 5 later? Could be, but right now he doesn't have the size. For comparison, Chandler Parsons is 6'10" 220lbs. Should Parsons play the 5?
Davis is more KG than Shaq, not sure why you're insulting Chad Ford when he actually gets to talk to NBA GMs on a regular basis. Can he build up enough mass to a full time C? Maybe, but right now he's a PF, you're the only one insisting he's a C when he clearly is not. Just because you post up doesn't mean you have to be a center, it has to do more with body type than your skillset.
