Ok I went to the game tonight. It was fun when I got there. I was there pretty early and I got alot of autographs. I watched Devon Gray in practice play against Kenny Thomas. This kid Devon Gray is such a hard worker. He can hit shots from anymore. I really like him alot.

Ok now to the game. My seats were a couple seats away from the Blazers bench. I was trash talking to the b**** scottie all night. Let me tell you what are the things they said to me. Pippen was on the bench and I was yelling his name out saying how he sucks and he is a quitter. I can see Pippen was getting annoyed by the fans. Then I kept yelling to him how he was made by jordan and he cant play worth ****. I was really at him the whole night. Then when pippen was playing and he fouled mobley, I said something that Someone here told me to say when pippen gets called for the foul. When pippen got called for a foul he was asking the ref what foul i didnt do it. Then I said out loud, "Shut up scottie, You beat mobley down just like you did to your wife"!!! Then after i said this, Bonzi wells the idiot looks back at me and says "Damn can you shut the hell up for once". Then me and this guy started talking about him. We called him all these names and he was getting really mad. The funniest thing was when this guy said something about rasheed wallace. He said " Hey rasheed, You need to wipe that c*m of your hair" LOL. Everyone at my section was laughing at him. It was really fun messing with the blazer fags.

Now to the game. We could of won this thing if we would of played smarter.

Hamilton - He needs to leave, He is the worst player we have, Lazy never does anything. I think he is the biggest piece of **** i have seen in my life.

Rogers - He played well, He was really active , I like this kid and I think we need to keep him. ( He was reallllly mad that he had to sit out most of the 4th).

Bullard - God, I like him alot. But Rudy better not let him start anymore. This guy cant do **** besides shoot the 3. He shouldnt get the start.

Anderson - What can I say about him. He is one of my favorites. He works both ends of the floor. He made a couple mistakes but overall I loved the way he played. Defense and Offense. He is going to be part of the future.

Francis - I love this kid, He is such a smart player. I wanted to see him get the ball more and shoot but they were doubling him alot. What a player he is, So athletic.

Mobley - He played good but I was really mad the way he played at the end. His shot was excellent but this kid needs to stop playing so fancy. ALl his passes and his moves are fancy. And he always does it wrong. He needs to stop that stuff.

Cato - more time, he played so great. Not alot of offense but his defense was excellent. I loved it. CATO IS THE MAN.

Drew - hmmm. I dont like him at all. Seriously Drew sucks. He doesnt know what he is doing, he had a couple lucky games but if a deal comes and they want drew then let him go.

Thomas - He played not bad but I dont want him playing at the end. He is way to young and I dont like him playing at the end, he makes ROOKIE mistakes.

Gray - Great Player, He can play good d and he can shoot the ball. he was nervous out there with his Troy Aikman hail mary to francis but I think he is going to be good.

Walt Williams didnt play. Rudy needs to stop that, He needs to let him play. That is not right. Williams has to find his shot back but how is he going to do it when he is sitting on the bench.

Ohh one funny thing that happened was when Francis was going to the side and got fouled by anthony but after the whistle francis wanted to jump and do a layup but sabonis came and kind of pushed him down in the air and Sabonis looked at francis and said dont bring that in here kid. Francis looked at him and said " Wait till i come and dunk it on your big fat ass" .. .Hehe and francis came and dunked it like 2 minutes later but sabonis backed off and Francis said " Thats what I thought"

It was a fun game to be at. But the 2 main problems we have is this.

    1. We need to get a rebounder, Someone who can get 10 a game. We dont have any rebounder.

    2. Stop doing those crazy moves, that is hurting them. They need to stop being fancy, WELL ACTUALLY FRANCIS CAN DO IT, BUT THATS IT!!!

I like the future, Just need to get a rebounder and an athletic SF.

You're too harsh on Hamilton. I would wait until next year to judge him. We will have Dream back soon, so we dont have to play ThAMM that much anymore. With Dream in there, Hamm can concentrate on his main priority: getting in shape. I envision him to be a bigger Oliver Miller when he's in game shape. And that could prove to be very valuable.

I heard this in another thread. Perhaps Walt didn't play because the deal with New Jersey is about to be completed. It would be foolish to play someone who ur gonna trade very soon. I don't know, but that seems like a very legitimate reason as to why Rudy didn't play Walt. Either that, or Walt hasn't shown that he's got his shot back in practice.

I agree with you on everything besides Drew. He only took like 2 shots in the game. Don't be so quick to judge him. A lot of people are calling him a poor man's Hornacek. Well, Drew, at this stage of his career, has loads more talent then Horny did at the same stage of his career. Plus, with Francis hogging all the minutes, Drew can't get out there and do too much.

MAN, everyone's talkin bout how good Devin Gray is. If he was so good, why didn't we sign him earlier? It seems like Devin is very versatile and can play a number of positions. He's got a solid stroke, and good defense. Just cause we had Barkley is no reason not to sign him. Well, all that doesn't matter now. I'm just glad that we got him.

BTW, can you describe what Devin was doing in practice. I want to learn some more about his game and his specialties.

    THX, and good post.

Good job! Make it a living hell for the blazers.

Do you think we should trade Drew?

Well Devin Gray vs Kenny Thomas in practice was fun to watch. Gray is such a quick player. He fakes alot and is a energy guy. He rebounds really well and hustles. What i liked was how he didnt fall for any of Kennys fakes that he does. He waited and waited and knew when he was going to shoot and he kept on blocking him. Kenny and him were laughing alot during practice and Kenny would tell him to shoot the 3 if you can. And Gray just started shooting it and didnt miss, he made i think like 5 in a row and then kenny told him to bring it in and then gray just went in so strong and dunked it right in his face. It was nice , This guy plays good d and has good offense. His shot is great. I agree with you, we should of signed him earlier.

If Drew can play smart and put up no points then i would be happy. He needs to understand how to play basketball. I dont care how many points he brings as long as he can play good d and play smart. If a deal comes up and they are asking for Drew then I would let him go.

Thanks for your inside look, but I think I'm finally over with the whole Pippen thing. The part about Pippen beating his wife was little over the line, but funny...lol
Pippen is still friends with some guys on the Rockets though, didn't you see him hug Mobley after the game? I definitely agree with you about their weaknesses. I hated it when the Blazers would go down and would get three consecutive offensive rebounds, that would result in a three pointer. Hopefully we can pick up our athletic small forward in the lottery. Any ideas on who we can draft?

    Francis3,
I like your breakdown of the players.Drew does have trade value and should be dealt in some deal for a PF.It sounds like you had fun,but it's real hard for me to swallow the choices Rudy is making now.I've been in his corner since he came here as a player and I can't help but say once again.....time to be GM!I am like a broken record now,but how in the hell can he still be making these wack subs and putting these F$%cked up lineups on the floor. We won't even go into the offense and defense. It's time...........Where's Caveman?.........LOL.....LOL.....and just because I feel this way doesn't mean I'm bashing Rudy,I'm just stating the OBVIOUS! We need to first get that Small Forward position.

Lets name some players in college that would be good.

    1. Terrence Morris
    2. Chris Porter
    3. Pete Mickeal
    4. Shan Battier
    5. Michael Wright

I dont know these are just some im naming. But I like Chris Porter alot. I like sf that are about 6-7 through 6-9 and Athletic.

It depends were we are in the draft.

Alot of big man in the draft. One I want is Kenyon Martin. But if we are looking for a small forward, then we could easily pick one of those I mentioned because you are right they will definitley be in the top 14.

I just hope we get a good pick.

antisonic: the company i work for paid $550.00 for me to have the right to do that that fateful night... i hope scottie enjoyed it as much as i did [IMG]

i hope i made cuttino's night also, because it was 15-20 games into the season, and i was on the 2nd row behind the bench yelling 'go cat' everytime i could, just b/c a few days earlier i had read on www.chron.com that cuttino had found his nickname...

I still hope we will pull off a deal for Ratliff and draft Harold.I don't think Martin will be there.

Hold up! We have Kenny Thomas, Carlos Rogers, and Devin Gray that play pf. Out of those 3, Gray and Rogers are versatile and can play different positions. Rogers can play the 3 very well. Someone even mentioned that Gray is quick enough to play the 2-guard. Why do we need a pf? We got a versatile group of guys that will only get better. Rogers has really impressed me lately. Gray, even though he didn't do much today, has impressed me due to the numerous good posts about him. And Thomas has a good post up game and can shoot the 3.

All 3 of these guys will be good(or are good already), and all 3 of them deserve at least 20 minutes a game. That's not gonna happen, so I suspect that either Rogers or Gray(probably Gray) will be moved to the 3-spot. If we get kendall Gill, then we will move Shandon to the 3-spot and you have yourselves a good nucleus of small forwards. If deal don't go down, then we still got bullard and williams(once he gets out of that damn slump) to back up gray at the small forward position. We got Thomas and Rogers at 4(and Tmass if deal don't go down). Hakeem, Cato, and Hamm at the 5. At the sg position, we got mobley and shandon or mobley and gilL(if the deal goes down). And of course you got francis and drew at the pg position.

That seems like a pretty solid rotation scheme for me. So, I don't think that we NEED another pf or sf. Certainly wouldn't mind drafting a good one, but we don't NEED it. Maybe we should consider drafting a center. Hakeem is gonna retire soon, and just in case the THamm experiment doesn't work out...

    peace out.

my seats were up kinda high but heard plenty of the boos. was the trash talking at court level really that bad? after the game i went to get calvin's autograph and also got van chancelor and carolos rogers. it made me mad cause bullard drove away and tossed two shoes out the window and before i relized he was giving them away so kid and a lady had them. i wanted them bad. and they ended up having other players sign matt's shoes but its still kool. oh yea steve francis stopped but he was about to get to my thing but then said no more autograpsh and speed off. well anyways it was fun.

Geez, Francis3. I'm glad you gave Pippen hell. I was there too but up high till the 4th quarter. Then I moved down about halfway of the lower section behind the Rockets bench. Pippen was on this side a lot, and I know he heard me calling him "LOSER" over and over. I tried "Quitten Pippen" but that didn't sound out as good in the noisy environment so I stuck with "LOSER". I said it the same way that guy says it in the movie Twister.

That said, you and I don't really agree on the players too much. Sorry.

Hamilton - I am very impressed with him. He is a keeper. Tonight, he looked like he has lost even more weight (good sign, he is motivated)and I thought he did okay on Sabonis for a rookie. Before the game he was working on his outside shots with Devin Gray. They were both clunking the rim. lol. Guess I didn't see Devin at the same time as you did. I was impressed that they were the only two Rockets out there.

Devin Gray - He played in the 2nd quarter. I was wondering why Rudy was playing all those subs in a game I really wanted to win but he did alright for himself. Portland mostly had subs in at that point also, the 2nd quarter.

Rogers - More and more becoming one of my favorite players. Has the desire for the game. Was out there to win. Provided lots of energy. Did well. Why did he sit in the 4th quarter? The guy is a starter. Definitely a keeper. Right now, I would keep Carlos over Cato if we are gonna trade any of our big guys. Simply because Carlos has the desire and the fire is there. You have to light Cato's fire for him.

Bullard - I appreciate him more this year than any other year. He is a true NBA veteran and he has been showing leadership by elevating his game. He has done more on both ends of the court this year than ever before. Guess he knows we need it more now. His knee is probably still tender though and he didn't get too much time tonight even though he started.

Anderson - has been one of my favorites this year from the beginning. I like his obvious work ethic and his demeanor. He quietly does his thing. I was surprised to see he had 12 points at one point in the game.

Francis - The Franchise. Nothing else needs be said. A couple nice dunks, a couple really nice, smart assists. Wish the Rockets would devise some picks or something to help him out on the double teams rather than him having to dribble out of it or pass.

Cato - I was at the preseason game against Cleveland when he had the triple double and have been mostly disappointed in him since. Tonight was no exception. He kind of got going in the 4th quarter finally. He has potential but you have to yell at him to get him motivated. I think he is happy to be mediocre unless someone gets on his case, fans included. I would consider using him as trade bait or else the coaches need to get on him more, he does not have the desire Carlos has. Before the game started, he spent lots of time talking with O'Neil and a couple other Trail Blazers instead of practicing shooting with most of the other guys. Walt did the same. Carlos visited a minute or two. Cato was talking too long. Before the 2nd half, others were shooting again, Cato was sitting on the bench. What's up with that. Trade his butt if he has no desire.

Mobley - Clutch. Definite keeper. Looking better and better. I would like him to have a few picks too so he has a little easier time getting to the basket or a jumper. I thought he was the man tonight along with Carlos while he was in there.

Drew - was having a hard time against this time. Thank you Rudy for recognizing it and taking him out. Played very little.

Thomas - I like him a lot and think he is a keeper. Like the radio said though he will need to bulk up. Or, in my opinion not the radio's, maybe become a small forward with a little more improvement in his shot. But he does well for a rookie, better than a rookie.

Walt - Can we package Walt and Cato and get a veteran, big power forward and maybe someone else with the PF and keep Carlos for our backup and Thomas?

Anyway, Francis3, sorry we didn't see a lot of things the same way but that's what makes the world go round.

I gotta disagree with you on trading Cato. I wouldnt even consider trading him unless its a good trade. It is hard getting a good center.

Power Forwards come by easily. But to tell you the truth we dont have a power forward on the team besides Massenburg.

Thomas has a body of a sf.

Gray can be a power forward and a small forward.

Rogers is sf that is tall but no power forward.
