I have several recommendations for your forum to "attract", use up less screen real estate, use less bandwith, database entries, etc. Would you like for me to post them here [so everyone else knows about them] or just send you a separate email?
O, I C... you don't go as far as Laredo, do you...? I was talking about the Laredo United HS team... ah, never mind... Anyway, here's one recommendation: combine the RGVSN black/blue band above somewhere within the RGV Sports Forum.com banner, so that there is more space to show the forums and peeps don't have to scroll down to see more. The way it is now, it looks like you have those blue and black stripes just adding space on top. Can you add the "RGVSN.com" link somewhere in the same area where the Forum logo is? That will let more forums display below the main logo. Also, reduce the padding where the titles of the forums go, and change the images on the left, the ones where the forums' listing are, so that you can decrease the space and get more forums showing.
I actually want to place the rgvsn banner in a header like the black band on top clutchfan header/navbar. I just haven't had time to figure that out yet. I will be changing the images later as well as adding more smilies. Thanks for the suggestions, and thanks for all the kind words. I'm really excited about these forums.
Hey guys...I would say my website is 95% complete. I've added quite a few "extras"...random photo gallery display, limited guest viewing, youtube embedding, news ticker, random paid banner ads, and a random forum ads in the navbar...spoiler tags, private social groups... We've gotten 750 members in a little over a month and a half. It's time for me to start looking for local businesses to purchase ads to fill the main ad banner. Now that it's almost complete, let me know what you think please. at www.RGVsportsforum.com . It has limited guest viewing activated, so you can view 5 posts before you get locked out, but you can view the forum thread titles as you wish. -FT
