Just got my new car last week, a 2003 Honda Accord Coupe. If you are looking for a reasonably priced sporty coupe, you can't do much better than this. Fully loaded, it's a pretty sweet ride. First time I've purchased a new car, feels pretty good.

I just bought a silver one for my wife. We both like it as well.

Did you get the navigation system? How is it? I'm in the market for a new car myself. I test drove the Pilot but it's out of my price range.

    Congrats dude!

Im not a big fan of the Accord myself. I bought a '95 EX Coupe back in 2000 and literally spent about $4,000 in repairs over the course of 2 years.

Yeah I know everyone says "Hondas are the most reliable cars." Unfortunately, I must have purchased a lemon or something.....

I bought a 2001 4Runner in March and have loved every second of it. Dont think I will ever buy another car. Once in an SUV..... Always in an SUV. I plan on putting about 200,000 miles on it.

    4Runner 4Life baby!!

No, I didn't get the navigation system, would have been nice though. The car rides pretty smooth. I'm loving the leather and 6 disc in dash changer(controls on the steering wheel). My girlfriend loves the Pilot and will probably end up getting one. I'm more a car peson than an SUV person. I'd definitely recomend testing out the Accord Coupe.

Drewdog, I know what you're talking about. I bought a 97 Integra in 2000, low mileage, thought it was a pretty good buy. But then there were all kinds of little problems that started poping up (had to get a new radiator and other thinks costing about $600 right before I traded it in). I figured I'd dump it before something major popped up.

How Random!! I'm deciding on what car I want this weekend!

I currently drive a '97 Lexus SC400 and want to get into either a

    2002-3 Lexus SC430

    or

    2003 Mercedes CLK 500

I've driven both cars and the lexus is a little heavier feeling, but has the metal spyder top that comes down. I still love the classic Mercedes styling but i'm really at a toss up. Lexus service rocks though, they still give me free oil changes at the dealership and they always wash it too!!! I have also NEVER had any real problems with the car so I am very satisfied with it.

Its ironic b/c I thought the MB Clk looked like a Honda Accord when it first came out!!

    Suggestions????

    Khan-

Dont be a Houston "CLONE" and buy a freaking silver Mercedes. I got sooooo sick of seeing the same 'cedes run all over Galleria and Midtown day and night....

Go Jap and buy the damn Lexus in some other color besides silver, black or red of course.

Those Germans dont know where to put the cupholders anyways.... :D

My current lexus is a Maroon/Red color, but i'm not the most intent on keeping a car clean so i think i'm going with Black.

I honestly don't like the other colors like the dark blue, dark green, purplish color and that desert sand (tan) color.

I think its either Black or Silver, with my preference being Black.
Ouch!! Can't be a Houston Clone though!!

I love the SC430, its VERY original looking and the inside is tan with a blonde colored wood that makes it look clean simple inside. Of course the back seat is only big enough for a suitcase, golf bad or a hobbit.

I'm looking at either the X5 or the Infiniti FX35. I'm going to go test drive this afternoon.

Well if you dont mind hitting up Mister Car Wash every other day, and your car being a virtual oven, black is definitely the BEST looking color for a sedan or sports car. Those Infiniti G35's are waaaaay sexy in black. My old '02 Altima I had in H-town was black with the windows tinted..... Sweet I tell ya!

Oh yeah can I roll in your ride to the Red Door next time im in H-town?? ;)

An X5 costs as much as an FX45. You should really look at that model instead of the FX35.

Go with the FX45 man. They look pimp & are not common. X5's have become luxury soccer mom mobiles.

    Drew and BigTexxx,

I actually ordered a Black G35 Sport Coupe with the six speed and everything and loved the car, plus it would have cost about 15-20K less than the Mercedes or the Lexus. The problem was that when they got the car in and I took it out for a drive for about an hour, I just realized I didn't like the interior and it wasn't that comfortable.

I had a 300ZX in high school and LOVED that car (back in the mid 90's!!), but the G35 Coupe felt cramped. I'm not that big or anything, about 5'10 180#, but it just wasn't that comfortable. I'm thinking if they eliminated the back seats it would make that car much more comfortable.

    Texxx,

I love the interiors of the M45 and Q45, but detest that of the G35 coupe. The middle has this plastic (wannabe) aluminum middle console with a tacky middle area. The buttons on the steering reminded me of an old maxima. It truly paled in comparison with the interior of the Lexus or Benz. I haven't been in the FX's but they look mean from the outside.

If you get the FX35 you HAVE to get the FX45 wheels or Sport Package. Those big wheels on that car make it just look mean as hell.

    Drew,

I kind of like the wheels on the Lexus for some reason. And imagine rolling up with the top down. It comes back up in 30 seconds!!

I'm going out Saturday with this buddy of mine from San Antonio that just got a Black 2003 Mercedes SL 500 a month ago. That thing is just a pimpin machine, it looks like something out of James Bond or Blade Runner.

PLAN: Find some gold diggers and let them think we'll give them the world, and we will till about 6 in the morn!

That's too bad about the G35 coupe. I never test drove one, so I don't really know how the interior is, but I think it has one of the best body styles out there.

    Damn! That would suck.

My buddy is coming down tommorrow, so fortunately it wasn't him.

Actually the 'Pad' is still being built. We demolished the old house and are building the townhouses as we speak. City restrictions are just slowing me down to a crawl but should be near completion in October/November...just in time for the Rockets season.

If you have a lot of money like me, then just wait for a little while until Mercedez Benz unleashes the SLR sport coupe in 2004

Its the factory production version. Benzo has it on the D-L though so your not gonna find a lot of info until the mass production unit is unveiled for the 2004 NAIA show in Detroit. Expect it to hit the market later that year.
