A while back I mentioned I was building a house in Katy...my wife and I nixed that deal recently for a lot of reasons... but we made an offer which was ultimately accepted on a house in the very neighborhood off Dairy Ashford that I grew up in!! literally two streets over from the house i lived in from the day i was born until the day i went to college!!! we're going through the inspection process right now... anyway...i'm pumped...just wanted to share it!!!
Congratulations. The joy of home ownership is just another piece in the complex puzzle of adulthood. Hope it all works out and you love your new home.
Your wife is a brave woman. Not many people would be willing to live a couple of streets away from their in laws. So congrats twice...once on the house and once on the bravery.
closer to my older sister as well...which means mom and aunt are all very close...which means easy access to babysitters! thanks for the nice thoughts from everyone!
Great job Max. Babysitters.....ah man.....that rules. All of my parents and inlaws live over 200 miles away. It is tough on the ole ALONE TIME, if you know what I mean. DD
Oh, okay...cool. I grew up off of Dairy Ashford and Bissonnett myself. That's a much better area of town over there too...congrats!
I feel you pain DD.... Thats why the wife, myself and two young children moved from Idaho back to Houston.
can't tell you how many times we've joked about that!!! my wife is so similar to his on that show, it's hilarious!! combined with this situation of moving close to my parents, we've been talking about that a bunch...my mom has already assured us that she is not going to abuse the pop-in privilege.
All my parents, in laws etc live 15,000 miles away - but not for long. We are moving back to Australia in 2 weeks. We had a babysitter who only charges $7 an hour, so it wasn't that bad.
Small world: my mom lives in Broken Bayou across from Barker's Landing between Eldridge and Highway 6.
