I didn't see this posted. Sorry if I missed it. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17158406/ As long as he doesn't go Bush on me, he will get my vote. The man is a born leader...and if you were around here on that fateful day... The guy was a Rock. An absolute ROCK. Legendary is the only way to describe the way he put the city on his back and led us out of that hell...especially the first couple of months. The guy can lead this country into the future. He has his warts. Nobody is perfect. But, he made NYC what it is today: the safest big city in the world. My best years of employment were under his economic leadership. His credentials are impeccable. Like I said, my first instinct is to give him my vote.
Hey! I just noticed you are in NYC...you wouldn't vote for Guiliani? REALLY? REALLY? REALLY? The man has better crudentials than most of the other idiots running...
According to the polls, he can beat Clinton or Obama by 1% in a head on. I think he will win in 2008 and then we get another 8 years of Iraq.
I am sure that the American Public will want that in their president. Why would Guiliani be that type of leader when he knows that if the public finds out he wants to keep the War going, he will lose badly? Makes no sense.
Ay, there's the rub. I probably would give him a long hard look if he hadn't changed parties and became a republican. I like his stance on stem cell research, gay rights, abortion and gun control. No way he get's the republican nomination.
he has my vote. and i have to think his candidacy, more than any other's, scares the hell out the dems, since he can win.
Nope! Because he supposts Jr's war. I voted for him for mayor. I voted for Pataki twice. I voted for Bloomberg twice. I know they all supported Bush but they were doing a great job for New York.
Marc...If I may... Don't vote along party lines. Because he is a Republican shouldn't be a reason to not vote for him. We have to think along the lines of who is the best candidate. Rudys credentials impress. Hands down. I don't vote along party lines. I voted for Ross Perot. Then I voted for Clinton. Voted for Gore. Then voted for Bush. I was on the McCain angle for a bit but he sucks now. I was on the Hillary angle and she is just so...I don't know. I want her husband to be Secretary of State so bad, though. Anyways, Republican...Democrat...that doesn't matter to me. Show me what you are as a person and you get my vote.

Off the topic a bit, Marc... You live in the NYC area...is it just me or does it seem like Bloomberg is a kickass mayor? I mean, he followed a legend and he has done really well. A great mayor if you ask me. Bloomberg for Prez?
On the record, he did say he wants to keep the war going. He was and is a staunch supporter of the Iraq War. By the way, I think majority of Americans think the cause of Iraq War was just. They just think it was executed badly. They think Giuliani is a much better executive than Bush based on 9/11, so they will support him to continue the war. Until it goes badly again that is.
Why not? The poll says he will win GOP nomination handily. The social conservatives will vote for him in the general election because he is the lesser of two evils. They might even vote for him in the GOP primaries because he gives them the best chance to win.
