Well, we've seen recently the influx of posts from people who get excited about their post count. Well, I've decided in my sober state to try to hit 2,000 posts before I leave for Houston on Tuesday at 1:00pm. The catch? No Freak, I'm not going to stop posting my liberal propaganda. I'm going to make sure that each of my posts are somewhat meaningful. No one line "I agree" replies (no offense BobFinn* ). I'm not going to spam the board at all. This is #1,751. Wish me luck, as if you care! ------------------ When you make an assumption, you make an ass out of yourself and umption. visit www.swirve.com [This message has been edited by Rocketman95 (edited October 31, 2000).]

I agree ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1. Don't tell everything you know.
RM95- I don't know if even Bob could go at that pace. You'll have to be posting at 55 posts per day! ------------------ President of the Jason Collier police! Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Draftsource.net ClutchTown.com
In the spirit of the original challenge, I am going to try to get to 1,000 posts before RM95 leaves for Houston on Tuesday at noon. And I'll make an effort to make the posts worthwhile. I suspect it might be a bit easier for me to get to 1,000 than it will be for RM95 to get to 2,000 in that time frame, though. ------------------ Houston Sports Board

I'm telling you, this is just a response to my being sober on a Thursday night! I'll probably be asking Clutch to delete this thread tomorrow. ------------------ When you make an assumption, you make an ass out of yourself and umption. visit www.swirve.com
Can't they just give you credit for 2000 posts and be done with it? Reaching your goal is going to make for an annoying weekend for some of your fellow members. Sorry Mango, but that would take the fun out of it wouldn't it. Oh wait, you don't like fun! I thank you anyway for that raving review on my posting style. ------------------ When you make an assumption, you make an ass out of yourself and umption. visit www.swirve.com [This message has been edited by Rocketman95 (edited October 26, 2000).]
All things in moderation and a blitz of RM95 over the next 4 days isn't in moderation. Fun for me is getting posters like you to exhibit some self-control. Since you seem bound and determined to carry out this plan, a very unhappy weekend for me is forthcoming. Mango ------------------ Test Your NBA Trade Ideas 1. Put new topics in the proper forum. Well, I'll tell you my schedule Mango sir. Look for a good amount of posts tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday. Saturday, I will be at the UT game and plan on drinking the rest of the day. Goals are not always obtained. I'm not going to post for the sake of posting. A lot of times I have something to say, but don't have a lot of time to write. I just so happens that I have a reprieve at work this week, not much going on, so I thought I'd share more. Sorry for upsetting you though. ------------------ When you make an assumption, you make an ass out of yourself and umption. visit www.swirve.com [This message has been edited by Rocketman95 (edited October 26, 2000).]
This seems as good a place as any to work on shedding this "Junior Member" stigma. Have fun RM95! ------------------ Brought to you by the letter M.
Mango, If a very unhappy weekend if forthcoming for you because of Rocketman95's post count then your weekend probably wasn't going to be that happy anyway. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
Whip me, ridicule me, beat me, chastise me, call me a party pooper....etc......the post count feature needs to be turned off. If the DELETE feature was still active, RM95 (among others) could go to a relatively inactive forum and get to their respective goals without being that obvious. Since neither option is likely to change in the near future, why doesn't the CC BBS have a new forum dedicated to upping ones post count? It will have pointless threads and people posting "Tee Hee". I won't venture near that forum because I know that the sole purpose will be for people to run up their numbers without anything constructive to say. Mango: Why exactly does this bother you so much? What is the difference? If you don't want to read something, skip it. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
