Hey guys and ladies, I have my Interview for admission to the Texas Southern University's Doctorate of Pharmacy program coming up on wednesday at 3 p.m. I'm usually quite relaxed and calm, but i realize that this interview will decide whether i must change my major or get into pharmacy school and into the pharmaceutical field. Everyone has been telling me that I should be proud of myself for simply having made it this far into the admissions process, but I'm pretty hard on myself and im really wanting to make my family proud. If anyone here has been to a pharmacy school interview before or any other type of interview (It will be me in a room with 6 frowning mean muggin people whos entire purpose is to rattle me and get me to break down) i would greatly appreciate the tips if you guys have any. Wish me luck and keep me in your prayers clutchfans....1 love
Just be yourself, and try and elaborate as much as possible on every question they give you. Explain yourself outright, and have confidence. Smiling and enthusiasm are also key. That got me through my interview, and should help you with yours.
You'll stink it up BIGGGGG time...so just go in knowing that, and you will feel no pressure whatsoever to perform Good luck, brah!
the noodly-appendage spaghetti monster does not waste time with petty prayers such as this! away with you!
I have an aunt in TSU's Pharm.D program. She will be starting her internship this summer. If pharmacy school is anything like she makes it out to be, you can kiss your social life goodbye. Since she has gotten into pharmacy school, her entire life has been pharmacy. Honestly, I don't think med students or law students persevere as much as my aunt does towards this. However, I do not know if my aunt is the exception, or the rule. Best of luck to you on your interview.
Go in telling them that you took just the right dosage of adderall and xanax to get you into the perfect state of mind for the interview. Sure to impress them.
Thank you everyone who contributed a positive note to this thread. I feel I am pretty much ready for my interview mentally and i will update everyone here as to how it went tomorrow evening. thanks again
