QB: It doesn't get much better than Vick. Excellent.

RB: Dillon is a solid RB1 and Green should perform fine as your RB2. Good.

WR: Harrison is the best WR in the game. Period. Holt, Chambers & Porter are solid. Excellent.

TE: Eh. I'm not impressed with Billy Miller. Fair.

K: Wilkins is one of the best. Excellent.

Def: Arguably the best D. Excellent.

Overall: Looks like a contender. Great job.

Thanks Fade, you sure know how to make a guy feel special; HAHA. Sorry to hear you won't be playing in our league this year, you will be missed. Anyone else care to voice their feelings?

How did you get Vick and Harrison having the ninth (and I'm assuming 16th pick) pick in the draft?

Some people tend to go RB crazy in football drafts. I'm guessing this was the case here.

I've added round numbers to my original list. After LT, Portis, RWilliams, and Faulk were gone. I figured I'd hold off on getting a rb and try to make other areas as strong as possible.

Also this league includes some casual football fans along with a couple of people who don't even watch it. Most left the default player's rankings and only two people showed for the live draft last night. Here are some of the surprises from our draft....
Aaron Brooks drafted 10th overall before Kurt warner, Peyton Manning, Rich Gannon and all of the second tier RB's(Edge, Fred Taylor, Ahman Green).
The first kicker and Def were taken at the turnaround in round 3 and 4(a little early, you think?); 36 and 37 respectively Vanderjaght and Pitt.
There was a run and it was on kickers in round 8 with 5 of the 12 picks in that round gone kicker. I manageed to get Jerry Porter instead and grabbed Wilkins much later in the 11th.
Three rookie wideouts were taken when I grabbed Charles Rogers in round 13 and Andre Johnson was taken two picks from being Mr. Insignificant. However the kicker was that Ari rookie wideout Bryan Gilmore was taken before either of them in round 12.

Overall it was a good draft and I'll have a tough time beating the teams who were able to grab Faulk, RDub, Portis and LT but that's the fun of this all.

yet another reason why drafts should be as close to the regular season as possible

sorry about Vick. I think he's worth a 10th rounder now.

Yeah, that team doesn't look nearly as ferocious without Vick. I guess you'll have to hit the waiver wire for one or two more bottom-tier QBs and play matchups for a while. Or, if you can work a trade for Trent Green without giving up too much, he would be a good replacement.

    Bad luck.
