I inherited an office computer for the kids at home. The problem is:

    At startup, it stops at

    file not found
Module c:\novell\client32\nbic32.nlm did not remain resident.
    Press any key to continue...

I CAN'T FIND THE "ANY" KEY!!! Ba dum-tss.

Just kidding!!! But seriously...the above problem happens every startup. When I hit a key, the following message is this...

NIOS-201-105: An attempt to load LSLC32.NLM failed because the specified file could not be found.

    ...and it keeps on with a TRANTA.NLM file, and a IPHLPR.NLM file, and a SRVLOC.NLM, and an IPX.NLM, and an SPX_SKTS.NLM, and a VMLID.MLM, and a CLIENT32.NLM.
THEN, it gives me a blue screen and says:
Invalid VxD dynamic link call from VREDIR(01) + 00006E8B to device "0487", service 4.
Your Windows configuration is invalid. Run the Windows Setup program to correct this problem.

I ran setup again and had the same problem...Anyone have and fix this type of problem before???

    Try re-installing Windows.

OK, I hit yes. I have 4 options...

    1. Create DOS partition or logical DOS drive
    2. Set active partition
    3. Delete partition in logical disk drive
    4. Display partition information.

Too bad you had to fdisk.

You probably could've gone into Safe mode and uninstalled Client32.

Or gone into Safe Mode and edit the registry.

    Fdisk is always better though!

Unless you had important stuff on your drive.
