I have had my service with Cingular for 3 years. I think that the service is on the expensive side and I think that I can cancel the service at any time now. Does anyone know if I can get Cingular to replace my cell phone for free if I tell them that I will switch providers if they don't? I would prefer not to switch providers and change my phone number.
It's always worth a try. If not, and you've been with them for longer than your original contract, you can sign a new contract and get the rebates on the phones that new users do.
arkoe - Thanks for the response. Admins - please delete this thread. I am leaving now and will call Cingular tonight.
I'm waiting until Nov. 24 (?) when it becomes possible to take your phone number with you during the change of providers. I'm hoping that there'll be bigger and better incentives and deals on plans as companies try to keep you with them. I'm month-to-month with AT&T right now.
Hey, good thought. I've been thinking of changing as well and it'll be great to keep our numbers. Thanks. I'll look into that.
