My car got towed this morning and what pisses me off is the way the streets signs are posted on the street. I always check the parking signs as to when parking is allowed and what days are street cleaning because the area is notorious for its tickets. So I get back last night around 1030 tired from a 10 hour+ day at work and I park on the street and the signs says 2 hour parking from 9am to 6pm. So I was like ok I'm cool until about 10 am then I can go park in the area where there is no two hour parking. So I walk down there this morning and my car is gone. I knew it wasnt stolen because there were plenty of other cars around me gone too so I figured it was towed. So I called the place up and its in the lot I have to wait for a friend to take me there on my lunch break, but apparently my car had just arrived at the parking lot because I just told him the make of it and he knew exactly where I parked and I have a very common car (2000 silver corolla). What ticked me off was that I told him about how the sign said 2 hour parking and he that down the street there is a no stopping sign. So apparently about 5 feet down from where I park there is another sign that says no stopping tow away zone from 7am to 9pm, cept weekends. The 9am-6pm rule is only for the weekends. What irritates me is that the two signs were not placed together and The only way I could have seen the no stopping sign is if I parked behind it, but the only open spot was in front of it. So I am stuck with this near 200 dollar bill which I'll have to pay, but is there anyway I can take this up with the city to get reimbursed and have the signs properly placed?

Take pictures. Request a tow hearing. Have a judge decide. People do it all the time. :D
