Today, I went over to Humble (NE of Houston) to bring my mom to Deerbrook Mall and the shopping center across the street to pass by Marshalls and Old Navy. Dropped off my mom at Marshalls and went to Old Navy that was about 2-3 stores down. I went in bought a pair of pants, got out, went to my car, noticed for some reason my CDs were laying on my passenger side seat, looked up, the window shattered with the tint keeping the glass together, then notcied my passenger side window was gone. Look towards my radio, and big surprise, it was gone. Whats even more dumb is that my mom had some clothes that she was going to return to Foley's and them bastards stole that too. I was pretty pissed off but didnt show it, cause I know that there is pretty much nothing I can do. The world is not perfect and there are some rotten bastards that do this to people. We ended up fileing a report with the Humble Police Department and went home. Blah, great start to my month of June. :(

Oh well, Mark Berman please make my day better by saying that Van Gundy is our next coach. :)

Here are some pics on what them bastards did:

Guess them bastards didnt like my taste in music and steal the CDs also.

Do you have insurance to cover it?

Have no idea, my parents pay for it, going to check with my dad when he gets home.

Btw, the irony of all this is that I had one of those radios that have a "magic flap" or "theft protection" the radio flips in when you turn off the engine of the car so it looks like its just a dashboard. So much for that.

sorry to hear that. If you had an aftermarket deck and used a credit card to purchase it, you may be able to file a claim. Check your membership info...

Thanks for the support guys, im not really that down, cause there is nothing much I couldve done. I was in and out at Old Navy in like 20mins tops and these guys just knew the hell they were doing.

I actually bought the Aiwa CD MP3 deck at Fry's and bought a 2 year warranty through the store but I dont think theft is covered.

This stuff drives me crazy

Two weeks ago someone went into the back yard of my house, broke into the shed and stole my drill and my bike. I feel kind of fortunate that they didn't get into the house.

My boss - who is living here in Perth temporarily, had his house robbed on the weekend. He lost laptops, VCRs, DVDs, Jewellery and a 42" Plasma screen. I honestly think Perth is worse for theft than Houston.

Must be something going around. My wife's purse was stolen last night at ST. PAUL'S CATHEDRAL in Minnesota!!! Upon talking to some of the Cathedral employees, they said it happens "a lot". It is a real pain cancelling credit cards, changing checking accounts, etc.

    Sorry Dave!

You were over in the shopping center with the Best Buy and Oshman's right? My gal used to work at that Old Navy. Deerbrook is going to hell in a handbasket. I used to love the Deerbrook Mall and only go to the AMC theatre there. Now it's look like a freaking wannabe thug convention in that place so I go to the Cinemark Tinsletown in the Woodlands. I really loved my Moviewatcher freebies at AMC!

Back on the subject, hope that lottery tickets pans out for ya man! :D

Yup, that the shopping center I was at. I was parked at the little parking lot that is between Old Navy and the abandoned store thats next to Marshalls. I had respect for the Humble area but now, its like I do not wanna go back there.

A friend of mine in California got so fed up with his car stereo being stolen that when he replaced it, he super-glued razor blades to the wires that go from the stereo into the dashboard.

One day he found his window broken, his stereo half-taken out (but still there), and a big bloodstain on the carpet of his car.

Thats a pretty good idea. But I wouldnt want a pile of blood on my car, but it beats paying for another stereo.

Its funny, I was wondering why everybody is making Lotto references, then I noticed in my picture of my lottery sheet. The new format blows, who in the hell is going to win? :p

While going to school in Austin, I used to work at BankOne downtown. I used to work in the main vault, that was interesting itself. Anyhow, I used to park in a free lot a couple of blocks away. One day, my truck was broken into. Nothing was taken, the radio was still in place, and it didn't look like they attempted to steal it. So I had no idea why they broke into it. One night about two weeks later, it gets cold, and my friends and I are leaving my apartment to go out. I look around for my leather jacket that my brother had recently given me. Really nice. After looking for about 15 minutes, it finally clicked in my head, that's the reason they broke into my truck. I felt so stupid for leaving that jacket lying right on the seat.

When I lived in Houston, my truck was broken into three times. Once in an underground locked parking garage...

Watch the local news. The police busted a group of teens in Northeast Houston with televisions, car stereos, construction equipment, etc...

People are coming forward to claim their stuff. Have you filed a police report? I'd contact the police.

first of all, I feel sorry for you on the break in. once in New Orleans, someone broke in my car to steal a shirt. worst part was, I was parked right next to a cop car. I asked him how this could happen with him right there and he said, "must have happened when I went inside to take a leak."

once again, sorry that this happened to you.
