I had a thread last year asking about places to take my family in Austin, because my brother was attending a summer program at the School of Architecture. He liked the program and wanted to attend UT, but was an out of state student trying to get in. He did all the paperwork and then had to wait for most of the year. He got word yesterday and was playing it cool, but he was pretty pumped about it. One more Rocket fan going to UT!

Clearly, all the world needs is more Longhorns and Aggies.

    Seriously though, congrats. :)

congrats - its not as easy (or cheap!) to get into that school as it was 10 years ago. i had average grades in high school, goofed around in community college for 3 years and transfered right in. no extra tests, interviews or essays. if i was trying now there is no way they would take me.

and a 12 hour semester was about $1,300 if i remember correctly.

It was $600 my first semester and only $200 when my sister graduated. The good old days of $4(yes the price of a happy meal) a credit hour.
