Even this morning. My room faces the east, so that sort of explains it, but the rest of the apartment is always much cooler than my bedroom.

Should I switch to silk sheets? Anybody have silk sheets? Are they cooler?

I have the exact same problem, but its due to the fact that my computer is in my bedroom and generates heat 24 hours a day.

With the cold weather, I'm actually enjoying the nuisance. I've been sitting in my bedroom in front of the computer to stay warm.

    Beats my nonexistant fireplace.

I always sleep commando style! If it gets warm, I throw the covers off. If it gets cold, I bundle up.

Just some adivce. If you get silk sheets (which I do believe are cooler), make sure you keep your toenails cut VERY short all the time or wear socks when you sleep! I had a pair of silk sheets that got completely shredded after a while. Even when I made sure my toenails were cut as short as possible, they would still catch. Eventually I just got cotten sheets and I havent' had the same problem.

Now, was that spicy enough? :D

Heh. No! My toenails weren't that bad. Of course getting sheets with a high thread count might take care of the problem, but from my experience silk sheets should only be used for special occasions, if you know what I'm sayin'. *gives elbow to the ribs*

I had silk sheets once and hated them. They would always slide off while I slept and I'd wake up freezing.

Reminds me of the bud light commercial where the nude guy slides out the window.

..btw the pic of that foot just ruined my sandwich eating experience :(

Silk sheets? No no no... Why is it I was always very warm whenever I wore a silk shirt? Silk doesn't breathe like cotton does, which will naturally stay cool, and the higher thread count is so nice, it's why I sleep in the buff (300 baby).

gr8-1, the answer is simple.... get a fan. We had this same problem, then we spent a paltry 30 bucks getting a standing fan. Worked like a charm.

Do you have any fans or anything? That always cools the room.

I don't have silk sheets, but I love the cotton bedsheets -- fabulous. Especially after they've been used for years, the've kindof gotten "broken in".

When I was in college, I took my bedsheets from when I was little since it was a single-bed. Transformers and Sesame Street. That RULED!! I loved having the old sheets on there. And straight up, chicks dig sesame street bedsheets ;)

Sorry, DARO. If I had posted the less tame images I found with a "toenails" search, you would be unable to eat for days. That's what has happened to me. There are some unfathomably ugly feet out there.

Please, people. Do NOT do an image search for "toenails," and do NOT post them here if you do.
