Hey, guys. My band, orange is in, will be on the Fox morning show tomorrow between 7am and 9:15am. We'll also be on 90.1 KPFT from 1 to 2pm tomorrow afternoon. You can listen live to that at http://www.kpft.org/. Finally, our CD release party is Saturday night at Rudyard's. Cover is $8 and we'll be the middle band between Arthur Yoria and SkyBlue72. We'll be on around 11:15pm. Hope to see you guys out.
I'll probably miss Yoria because I'm gonna hear a bit of RocketManTex's band playing down in Pearland. It's gonna make for a cool night of music
All of that sounds great. I wish I was in Houston to be able to check it out. Congrats. Have a good show.
Jeff, Looks like we'll be there. You should feel honored me picking you over RMTex. I'll catch you next time, Tex.
No problemo, bro. Spread the love! Jeff, I heard the promo on KPFT this morning and should be tuning in this afternoon. Bravo to you and your mates on the new CD! Congrats!!!
If you guys want to hear the KPFT radio thing, just go to http://www.kpft.org and click the Archives link. Our show was the RadioACTIVE show from Friday. You can play it via stream. We start about 10 or 12 minutes in. Also, later today, you can hear the whole CD on our website - http://www.orangeisin.com/
Had a great time Saturday night. All three bands were awesome. SkyBlue72 was badass as was Orange Is In. First time to Rudyards for a show, won't be my last. BTW, Jeff, I counted 18 people that were there on my recommendation...they all left pleased. Maybe that'll get me in the liner notes.
Wow. I can't compete with that . Orange Is In sounded great - best I've ever heard y'all play. I was little disappointed that SkyBlue72 didn't play two of my faves from their album, but otherwise they were cool as well. It was also really good to see RocketMan Tex down in Pearland. He looked good and was fiesty as ever. Although I didn't stay for too much of his gig, it was nice to hear him playing guitar again.
Thanks, and thanks for coming out. The food at Zydeco Kitchen is pretty awesome, eh? They loaded me up with baked chicken and jambalaya before we left, and I had a 2AM throwdown on my kitchen table!
Jeff I still havent got to pickup the CD yet, but I will.. I also wanted to tell you I love all the violin/viola playing on the CD.. again, great job..
Yeah, the violin does add a really nice touch to their sound. Amy Price is the one playing the violin and she's in another band called Paisley Close. If you're interested see www.paisleyclose.com.
Thanks. Yeah, Amy is awesome. It's definitely different for a rock band and that's why I like it. Amy grew up playing classical music, but she plays Celtic and folk music, so she has the ear for melody that a classical player would have but the style of a folk musician. Very cool combination.
