...won her school's 2nd grade spelling bee today! Congratulations, sweetie! A future "best speller on the BBS" if there ever was one!
ask her if she can spell "barbeque" because what I just spelled is not correct according to Websters.
I remember when I won my school spelling bee in 5th grade. Went on to place 9th in district. Explans why I'm one of the best spellers on this BBS. The word I got out on though was "Anteroom" of course I thought it was spelled "antiroom" Oh well. Congrats. Let me take a try at that....Barbecue.
No no, you see, that thing happened where it starts eating up the words as you type. I hate it when that happens but thats what happened......
Congrats!!! This thread reminds me of that (insert synonym for weird) girl Rebecca, who won the national spelling bee a few years back...you know... the one who literally screamed each letter at the top of her lungs while taking a break between each of them to sniff her knuckles. ESPN is great!
I would like to extend the proliferation of what amounts to the constipation resulting in the emancipation which I hereby bestow this proclamation in declaration of my unequivical, and so said manifestation of a simple congratulations...
Can someone explain why the National Spelling Bee is on of all channels ESPN? The obvious channel would be PBS. If ESPN didn't have their logo on the screen, I would have thought the channel lineups were changed.
anybody remember that girl having an orgasm on ESPN when she was spelling the final word during the national spelling bee finals? Classic stuff... Remember the words of that great ambassador to good spelling, Homer Simpson... "I AM SO SMART! I AM SO SMART! S-M-R-T! I MEAN S-M-A-R-T!"
Everyone knows it's "BBQ". I used to do the spelling thing... won my school's three years out of the five we were eligible to participate, got lucky and won the city one once (after spelling a bunch of words I had no idea about), and would have gone to Washington except I lost my nerve and did something stupid at the regional one. Oh well. Glad those days are over - all that studying...
Yes, Rome always cracked on "Becca" for sounding a little TOO excited when she spelled that final word correctly. It's on his cd, if anyone else has it. Funny stuff....
