I am really thankful for having this guy on our team

he is a good backup center, he makes things for us much easier

today against the Griz he had 11 rebounds and few blocks in just 20 something minutes

this guy, even with his age is a great asset to any team

he is always there, court or the bench

    thank you Mutombo

    and happy new years everyone

    peace

He got 4 blocks today. How many to go to be all time #2 blocker? 8?

I hope he can keep this toughness after he got 2nd place of overall NBA blocks' rank.

Even when he's not in the game, he seems to be such a great boost for moral on this team. And the stuff he does for charity....he's a great person indeed.

This again proves that CD is the best manager in the world for recognizing Dek's ability.

Since yao has been out, moutombo is avge. 4 points 12 boards and 3 blocks. that ben wallace type numbers. he is in my opinion a top 5 backup center. probaly the best defensive and rebounding backup in the league.

I'll revise the rebound count. its 9 boards a game. but the 3 blocks and 4 points are correct.

If we ever create a nuclear missile defense shield, I want to call it Dikembe.

Deke is great man, all heart. The guy is a GREAT rebounder, even at this age. He's a GREAT shot-blocker as well. More importantly, he never takes a second off during the game, he's either playing on the court and wagging his finger or he's our leading cheerleader on the bench, getting his teammates and the whole crowd into it.

As I've said multiple times in the past, he's my favorite NBA player, and will continue to be so until he decides to hang 'em up, which at this rate won't be for at least another 2-3 seasons, and I would like for them to be all with the Rockets. Heck, may be we can even retire his jersey one of those days.

Anybody think Deke can make the Hall of Fame. It would be cool if he decides he wants to go in as a Rocket.

I think hell make HOF. Hes one of the best centers during the Ewing, Shaq, Hakeem era.

Deke really made a name for himself in Denver and Atlanta. if he were to go into the HOF, it'll be as a Nugget.

I always say, that the reason Deke seemed less effective last year, than the year before, was the decrease in minutes. Except for the fact that he is now a below average finisher, he is decent at freethrows. Which helps make up for that deficieny.

And he is still a great rebounder and shuts down the paint.
