Does anyone think that we may see more of Deke now that the ASB has passed? I think it's possible that Adelman didn't think he had enough for a full season and wanted to save his energy for the second half of the season and the playoffs. Be that as it may, I don't think we will see Deke crack the rotation until our recent win percentage comes down a bit or we lock up our playoff spot.
We will see him most def if we get into top 4 seeds at the end of the season.. to give Yao rest.. trust me.
Who are you going to take minutes away from? Landry? Hayes? I just don't see it happening....We need athletic and active players around Yao Ming, and when Yao is out Adelman likes to play small ball...Deke is a solid player to have around, but I don't see him playing a role on this team unless...well you know who goes down.
I'm sure Mutumbo only gets activated for games against teams with multiple bigs like LA. That's been his role all season and it will continue to be that way.
I'm not at all worried about Mutombo getting minutes as long as we keep rolling the second half of the season. Besides, I'm sure Deke is kicking some arse with the practice squad.
Activate him against NO and Utah. If Paul or Deron Williams think they can run through the lane at will against us they will receive a heavy dose of elbow. Today's special, elbow and basil soup, romaine salad bathed in thousand elbow dressing, a main course of roast elbow au jus in a frothy cream of elbow sauce, and for dessert, elbow brulee topped with a hefty scoop of warm butter pecan ice cream. MMMMMM you like that crap Chris Paul? I hope you do because that's what you're gonna get!
Unfortunately Paul and Deron can pretty much shoot it up from anywhere they please, and no way Deke can keep up with NO. Delicious menu btw.. had breakfast yet?
Nope, lol. I'd been working soon as I woke up, finally got around to lunch at 10:30. One can only hope that Paul and Deron will learn the painful lesson of driving in the lane sometime soon; T-Mac was unstoppable early in his career and he probably could point to a few people that convinced him otherwise.
