I blew out my Line 6 guitar amp a week ago and I can't seem to find anywhere to get it repaired, anyone got any suggestions?
Sell it and get a point-to-point wired amp (better sound and way easier to repair). Seriously, you can try Hoss who has a store on 19th street in the Heights or you can try Rockin Robin (more expensive). Just be forewarned that amps with circuit boards are more problematic.
Hoss is da man when it comes to amplifier repair. He is inside Allen's Speaker Re-Coning at 919 W. 19th St. He can fix anything and he isn't very expensive. The place is an absolute **** hole just piled high with old crapped out speakers, but it is the ONLY place in town for quality, inexpensive speaker and amplifier repair. The number is 713-868-7505.
I can definitely speak to that. I got some speakers re-coned there, and they are awesome!! They do a fabulous job, and it's very well-priced. Don't be fooled by the clutter or the run-down nature of the place. I imagine it's the best in town.
