ive been trying to play guitar but finally realized that im going to need lessons. so to answer your question no not me
Bass for 18 years. Guitar for about 12 of those. I play a bunch of instruments and own a small production company. Check it out here: http://www.zerozero8.com/ - song clips and everything. he he he - free plug
Guitar for a while now, I don't see why you would need lessons but I did have previous music expirience before I picked up the guitar. I will not divuldge that past expirience because I find it embarrasing but I do not feel it helped me with guitar until I reached a fairly high level.
Been playing Bass for about 9 years and picked up guitar about 2 years ago. Hey Jeff- Do you know any drummers who are available in Austin? How much do you charge for studio time?
Sorry, I don't know anyone in Austin in terms of musicians. I charge $35 per hour but I can work out block time discounts. Gimme a call if you want to discuss.
I've played bass guitar for 19 years (I got a Fender P-bass for my 11th birthday), and the guitar for about 17 years. You'd think I'd be good by now, but I'm not. I also briefly played the Cello and the Trumpet, but I gave those up many years ago.
I started playing the Blues Harmonica a year ago and I am addicted. you should see me, walking down the street playing the blues all day. anyway, i have always loved making music and harmony. i took piano lessons when i was a tyke. then in middle school, i was a percussionist and i got a sweet drum set. then i picked up the guitar and started jammin on that. i went to buy an E string one day at Mojo Guitars in the East Village and walked out with a E Harmonica, blowin ever since. i have been looking for gigs in NYC keep speaking the language of music, friends
I've been playing the sax for 11 years. Started on alto and switched to tenor 4 years ago. I'm currently studying to be a high school band director. I also play in a local funk-rock band called Six West. I've also been playing guitar for about 4 years and piano for 2.
Wow, lot's of bass players here. I've played bass for 11 years and guitar for 7. Jeff, do you know of any drummers in the Houston area who don't suck (I add that because I know many drummers who can't play worth crap)? Ever since the Houston Press shut down in the summer of 1998, I've had a hard time tracking down musicians.
I didn't think there was such a thing as a bad drummer. How hard could it possibly be to play the drums?
Do you mean the "Public News?" The Press is still around. Anyway, I don't. In fact, the New York Times did a story recently about how there is a very serious shortage of drummers in the music business and it is actually creating some problems for bands. Houston is no exception to that. There are some very good one's around, but not any great all-in-one guys that can do a variety of different stuff. Axeman on this BBS is a great drummer and there are some others around but they are hard to come by.
