LCD Soundsystem video for "Home." Filmed in Houston in 2010.

When this video first came out, I distinctly remember the video only being around 3-4 minutes long and much more tamer. I guess this is the official extended version.

There's always rap videos with always has its regional "representing". Im assuming you don't mean those unless they REALLY promote it more than usual.

And I'm still drawing a blank of even what those can be...

Sure Rap videos too. I've seen a few H-Town based rap videos but couldn't think of any off the top of my head.

What got me thinking about this was that I came across a video for Rancid showing a lot of Berkeley and the East Bay so I wanted to see if I could find videos for all of the places I've lived.

The problem with this one is you don't see even one guy wearing a Houston team gear. Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Eagles?

Anyone know if ZZ Top did a video featuring Houston?

Lil Keke was a huge Ray Bourque fan. He was sad to see him leave Boston, but glad he won the cup in Colorado.

You do know that LCD Soundsystem had absolutely no hand in the making of this video, right?

This was filmed at friend's place. I'm somewhere in that sea of redness around the 3:40 mark. Dancing. Had a lot of fun in that place. Memorable parties.

    RIP 1816.

    Anyways, this:

What was the story behind the video? I noticed a lot of the Free Press guys were listed on the link. It says in articles that this was an unofficial video for "Home" but on the video it says official video.

Does this mean that some local folks unofficially made the video at first and then LCD Soundsystem liked it so much they made it official. I'm a bit confused. Or was there no official video for "Home" ever made?

Boy, that takes me back to freshman year at Moody. I remember seeing Farrakhan at the HPER building at TSU, he kept on asking why there was a "feud between the Northside and Southside of Houston," and I assumed it was something his speechwriters dug up after hearing that song.
