Stupid list made by someone with horrible taste in music. Some of the bands on that list are making some of the best music around these days.

There's only 1 band on their I genuinely think is crap, and that is Sleigh Bells. I will never understand the hype for them.

To have Beirut on this list is downright laughable. The level of musicianship in that band would blow whatever Creed knockoff this author is probably a fan of. I guarantee this jerkoff likes Skrillex or something equally horrible. Keep the bros away from indie rock.

I agree with most of it. I like some old Black Keys but none of the rest. Stupid hipsters.....they are probably too cool to care anyway.

I am not opposed to hearing something new and finding something to like.

But I couldn't honestly name anything from any of these groups.

Question for you guys who ARE fans of some of these groups: Can you give maybe some recommendations of something like what you consider the best couple of tracks from the ones on the list you like? You know, like a way to listen and get a foot in the door to their music, so to speak..?

Bright Eyes is as close to Elliott Smith we're gonna get in our lifetimes. Sadly. I'm just glad Pavement, Built to Spill, Neutral Milk, etc... have finally graduated from the group.

    One thing I've learned from Sirius/XM U:

Echo is the hipster autotune. Dial it back, hipsters.

That and the only thing I hate more than poorly recorded drums is cheap @ss drum machines.

I agree with you on everything you said except that I think you should really listen to congratulations a few more times, it grows on you and you start noticing all these little hooks that are there only for the dedicated listeners

I'm willing to bet that anyone who says they like Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti would fail a lie detector test if they answered "yes" to "do you like the music of Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti".

    Just awful.
