Pretty nice, I think it's a great thing DJ Vlad, it feels more original than rap rock or nu metal which surprised me overall great mixtape.
I was expecting it to be more nu metalish as well, considering it was produced by Mike Shinoda (Linkin Park). 50 cent vs the verve is my favorite.
The Hood Internet did this first with their indie rock vs. rap mashups. (Technically Girl Talk brought it into prominence, but Girl Talk is slightly different sounding and is more a mix than a mashup) Check out The Hood Internet. They are from Chicago and make some brilliant mixes. http://www.thehoodinternet.com/ They performed around 9 times at this year's SXSW in Austin. They release all their material for free. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hood_Internet
awesome I havent heard of them will check out their stuff. I love Girl Talk and his Feed the Animals album is always on my iphone.
I'm not much of a rap fan, but some of these are pretty damn sweet. I really like the Ice Cube and Tool collaboration, but I could definitely do without the overuse of the N word.
If you like this, check out the Legion of Doom. Mash-ups that are very similar to LoD, except for specifically pairing thug/hood/party tracks to popular hard rock songs. LoD is more like indie vs. indie. And Girl Talk is a different genre altogether. It's not mash-up, its really just brilliant use of sampling. Car Stereo Wars rocks too, great soundtracks for parties.
Eminem vs. Mop vs Queen is bad ass "we will, we will, ROCK YOU IN YO FACE STAB YO BRAIN WITH YA NOSEBONE"
