I can't even name a new album. Edit. I take that back. I did get a copy of Bad Brains "Build a Nation". It was ok, definitely their best in many years. I listened to it twice.
All are classics that we'll enjoy for many years. Our kids will one day study many of these albums the same way we study work of Mozart.
Some of these didn't come out in 2007, but I discovered them this year so thats what matters. Radiohead - In Rainbows Nine Inch Nails - Year Zer0 Lily Allen - Alright Still Underworld - Oblivion with Bells IAMX - The Alternative The White Stripes - Icky Thump
LOL, I just cut and pasted my list after goggling ‘top selling albums of 2007’. Just trying to make a (stupid) point on the state of the music industry today. And make a good natured joke about how everyone likes to post albums in these threads that they think no one else has heard of.
I only bought a few albums cause I there's so much crap out there now (in hip/hop anyways): 1. Kanye West - "Graduation" 2. Wyclef Jean - "Carnival II" 3. Common - "Finding Forever" 4. Jay-z - "American Gangster" 5. Alicia Keys - "As I Am"
Dont know about the best, but here are the five I listened to the most this year...(Not counting compilations, because that Eric Clapton collection hasnt left my player in about a month) Best album Megadeth has put out since Rust In Peace... Not as good as Contraband, but one of the more underrated bands out right now... Not his best, but Ozzy still rocks... No one here has probaly heard of these guys but me... No sophomore jinx here. These guys are VERY good...
(Alphabetical order) Chris Duarte - Blue Velocity Doyle Bramhall - Is It News Jimmy Hall - Build Your Own Fire John Fogerty - Revival Kenny Wayne Sheppard - Ten Days Out KT Tunstal - Drastic Fantastic Ray Davies - Working Man's Cafe Savoy Brown - Steel Storyville - Live At Antones Toni Price - Talk Memphis Probably my favorite 11? The Holmes Brothers - State Of Grace
I didnt know Kenny Wayne had something new out! Is it just him? Or is it the Band as well (with the other singer)?
No order: UGK - Underground Kingz Devin the Dude - Waiting to Inhale Amy Winehouse - Back to Black Chamillionaire - Ultimate Victory Common - Finding Forever
