    Thought since we have some multinational posters on here we could share/recommend some acts that otherwise might not make it stateside.

    No crossover acts like Manu Chao, Shakira, CSS,or Air plz.

    ...and I will bust a cap in anyone who mentions Los Tigres del Norte or Christan Castro. :mad:

    My recomendations are mostly indie rock:

    Panico (Santiago de Chile) - Saw them in Fance and fell in love. Album is very difficult to find. One of my fave bands

    Bajofondo (Buenos Aires, Argentina) Saw them in Argentina. I love tango fusion, just love it. Pa' Bailar with Julieta Venegas doing vocals is the best latin single this year!!!! No official video but this live version, although muddy with audio, captures what an great live act they are.

    Anyway, I'm friends with a couple of Uruguayos who got me into some of their tango like Larbanois y Carrero and Los Zucara, also one South American rock band, Patricio Rey y Sus Redonditos de Recota (not sure if they're from Uruguay or Argentina)... Joaquín Sabina (España), Jorge Drexler (Uruguay/España), Café Tacuba (México).

    Am I supposed to post videos? Google them.

    That Japanese salsa group just blew my mente. Very surreal. Pretty good too.

    I luvz the mexicans. I just don't dig Norteno or Bubble Gum pop acts.
