The only lyric we can remember has to do with Jon Luc-Peccard and boulevard.

I can't find it by googling, so I figured I'd go with the smartest search engine around.

If it's "border guard" and Jean-Luc Picard, then it's most likely "Banditos" by The Refreshments. Lyrics and tab here.

The Refreshments f*cking RAWK. An old friend, Billy Bremner, played with them for a while, and they've backed up Dave Edmunds on a couple of short tours. The Refreshments are the closest thing ever to one of my all time favorite bands, Rockpile.

RocketMan Tex: you should check out Calexico. Great desert rock stuff, though not nearly as radio friendly as The Refreshments.

You know, I actually meant Giant Sand and not Calexico. The two bands kind of go hand in hand for me.

Calexico are also really good, but they're primarily instrumental southwestern style stuff with kind of a mariachi influence.

I tell you what, just shoot me an e-mail at holymountain@gmail.com with your address and I'll pop a cd-r in the mail for you.
