Lupe Fiasco has released “Words I Never Said” featuring Skylar Grey, the second single from his oft-delayed third album Lasers, dropping March 8. Lupe warned that it would be a “big, controversial record,” the Alex Da Kid production features attacks on Barack Obama, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Israel and even radical Muslims.

Lupe Fiasco is far from ignorant. Now if it were Lil Wayne, Drake, or Soulja Boy... well...

Wow, a rapper is attacking people in his lyrics? How unique...

In other equally shocking news, U2 has announced that The Edge will be playing guitar on their next album. Developing...

Is there anything remotely thought provoking in that?

    Verse 1:
War is BS. 9/11 was an inside job. Budget cuts suck.

Don't everyone hold your breath for verse 2 that contains any suggestions for solutions!

Rap has gone from revolutionary to r****ded faster than any other genre of music I can think of.

    [start the video]

You know what I really think? Is that this guy says nonsense.
He barks at some people that would really teach him some sense.
Where's his education? Oh, the slums, don't you remind me.
All he's doing is he's riling up people that buy him.
If he is so eloquent, then why not run for office?
Stop making some crappy songs and get back into college.
What, you saying that the man's responsible for your actions?
That's all that I needed to hear from someone with passion.

It's so loud inside his head
With words that he should just keep.

What ever happened to rappers who just told us about their Adidas and them both askin P. They made a good team their Adidas and them. They get around together, rhyme forever and they won't be mad when worn in bad weather... their Adidas squeak across the bathroom floor, out the back windows, they did their escape... didn't even get a chance to grab their old school tapes, Marvin Gaye's Greatest Hits? Turn the stuff up and had the bass cold whompin', cruising through the east side south of Compton?
    I don't get it.

I don't understand why all you are hating about a rapper rapping about politics. He's an American citizen, he has opinions, and he is a lyricist. I'm sure he's allowed to put all those together in order to express himself. What makes it okay for all you to sit here and talk politics on forums and blogs? Are YOU guys some sort of political experts with expert opinions?? I don't think so. I may get flamed for this, but Lupe is probably more intelligent than anyone who posts on this board.

Pretty sure he can talk about whatever he wants. He seems pretty critical of everyone in his song. Why can't we be critical of him for sounding r****ded?
