I know most people don't like him, but his music is simply amazing. His album is reportedly coming out sometime late this year is called, Good Ass Job. A new track got released today that may or may not be on the CD called Power. Let me know what y'all think. http://usershare.net/qit49hrrs67u
Kanye makes music only Kanye likes. He doesnt care of no one else buys his record, just that his name is on the cover. Pathetic excuse for a once-prolific producer, and once humble lyricist. This clown has an ego so much bigger than his career.
Get over the Taylor Swift crap. Waaaa he took the mic from a skinny white girl. So what? He can be an ******* but guess what, most of these celebrities are. Anyways, I like the track. The production is dope and Kanye has some funny lines. I like his don't give a crap attitude. Tired of the same cookie cutter personalities that only say what people want to hear.
I was gonna start this thread. I know he's not on everyones favorites list, but this song isn't bad at all.
overrated and an assclown. His music is on par with most newer hip/hop, rap, dance or whatever you want to call it...which means... it sucks.
Once humble lyricist? The last thing Kanye has ever been while rapping is humble. He's had a huge chip on his shoulder and an ego since day 1 because nobody had any faith in him as a rapper. Can't listen to the track right now, but I don't care about Kanye as a person. He provides an entertainment product to me, that if good enough, I will purchase.
Are you kidding? Listening to the production on the new track. Even his flow is great. Each line has a reason for it being there and this new track goes back to what he's really good at doing. And like AW said, get over the T. Swift deal. If it weren't for him doing that, Taylor would not be nearly as famous as she is now so in reality she should be thanking Kanye for doing what he did. Regardless of his personality the music he makes is good and different from what all other hip-hop artists are doing.
both of you guys mention the swift ordeal as the reason why people dont like him...give it a rest...he was an assclown before long that ever happened. And i love how taylor swift wouldnt be popular without him...are you f-ing serious?! She had already won the award and sold more albums than god. I hate to be mean, but that's just stupid reasoning. Everyline has a reason for being there...that's gold!
Does he really have to put that sort of stuff on the title of his albums/records/CDs? That's not good.
I listened to it. I find it sad that you think his music is "amazing". The lyrics to this song are vile.
Just cause he's a douchemonster doesn't mean his music sucks. I'm sure everyone was jammin at least one of Late Registration, Graduation, and College Dropout album or song before he pulled that move on Taylor Swift. Don't front.
Cmon Swoly, it's not the worst of it at all. Though I think this was equally in bad taste. I was only 11 when I wanted to get this CD so I had to try to convince my parents to purchase it. If he can return to whatever form he had in Late Registration, and not let the popularity get into his head which made him create 808s then this should be worth a listen at least. Yall know damn sure half the album will be on the radio for 6 months.
You think it's "vile" because he curses or talks about inappropriate things, but the fact of the matter is, when you listen to his music it actually has meaning. In the song when he says: The system broken, the schools closed, the prisons open Coming from Chicago where the school system is one of the worst, he realizes it's important for him to say something, cause people do listen, regardless of what people think of him. Yeah he curses, yeah some of what he says isn't appropriate for everyone to listen to, but he is good at what he does. Whether is be rapping or producing. When you compare some of his music to some of the other guys on Young Money or more main stream artists it's not anymore more vile.
Please tell me we aren't going to listen to this again. Taylor Swift is one of the biggest stars in the music world today. Kanye West didn't make her. He didn't enhance her either. The only people who would think that are the kind of people dumb enough to ignorantly blow her off as some "skinny white girl."
If you can honestly say that Kanye didn't make her more recognizable to a more broader audience then you are wrong. Yeah, she's great at what she does, with a ton of AMA's and CMT Awards, but she didn't break through at the Grammy's till after West did what he did.
