black, but i like just about all the bands you just mentioned so if yall are ever round my part of town i'll come check yall out.... yall ever play walter's on washington? that's my kind of music venue. just saw a great jason isbell (formerly of the drive by truckers) show there last week.... my ears were ringing all next day.
We played Walter's once opening up for Will Hoge. I've seen a few shows there - missed The Hold Steady, unfortunately. It's a tough venue to play just as a local band unless you are pretty damn alternative. We enjoyed the show we did play there. We play Rudyard's, Continental Club...places like that mostly. Not a ton of venues in Houston anymore, sadly.
Thanks for all the kind words, everybody. Like any music, it's not for everyone and I know that there is a significant portion of the board that fits into a pretty different demographic than the one that normally likes our stuff, but if you do like it, let me know. Always good to hear. We should have some new tunes online before Thanksgiving and we hope to finish up a new CD next spring.
