BMI is such a terrible measure of anything. JJ Watt (35) is halfway between obese (30) and morbidly obese (40) according to that measure.
Unless one is a freak athlete or professional bodybuilder, the BMI has very good value in assessing body composition.
It's a measure of how fat you are that makes no differentiation at all between bone, muscle or fat. It's not really good at all.

Because everyone around you is just a freak of nature like JJ watt? Maybe I have been going to the wrong McDonald's but I don't see a lot of people built like JJ watt. BMI works for the general population. It just doesn't work on bodybuilders because of above average muscle mass. But ya you're right..no one is fat is Murica. We have been calculating it wrong using BMI.
